I stayed at this hotel recently, and while the location and room views were great, the overall experience was disappointing. Upon check-in, we found that the room was not prepared properly. There were no toiletries, no bed sheets on one of the beds, no Wi-Fi code provided, and the toilet was dirty with traces of feces. We even had to clean the toilet ourselves. Despite multiple attempts to reach out to the hotel, there was no response for several hours, which left us stranded with no basic amenities. I ended up having to contact Booking.com at midnight to get any assistance. It wasn’t until the following day that the hotel addressed some of the issues, including providing toiletries and cleaning the room, but by then, our first night had already been ruined. We understand that issues can happen, but we weren’t expecting luxury — just the very basic standards that any guest should be able to expect. The room we were given on the first night was clearly not in a condition suitable for rent. It was far below the standard you would expect to pay for, and it felt as though no one should have been charged for staying in that room. The lack of communication and the poor condition of the room on our first night were far from what we expected, especially given the price we paid. The hotel definitely needs to improve its service and responsiveness to ensure guests receive the quality they deserve.

This is a HOTEL review (not restaurant). We stayed here from April 1-4, 2024 and loved it. This hotel is right on the edge of the gorge in Ronda with a stunning view! Truly breathtaking. We booked the loft on the top floor and enjoyed our breakfasts and our evening wine & cheese out on the large balcony. It couldn't have been more perfect! The room is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, with two french doors and a kitchenette. The bathroom is lovely, with a big shower to enjoy (which isn’t as common in Europe). The location is right in the centre of town, near the famous Puente Nuevo, so it was easy to walk everywhere. And the hotel was able to direct us to paid parking just a short walk away. All in all, we had everything we needed for our 3-night stay. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning sometime soon.

Today we had dinner at Casa Santa Pola and it was possibly the best dining experience we’ve both ever had. The view from the intimate and private terrace is spectacular. The service from Rafael is attentive, courteous, friendly, and very classy. The food was exceptional (consider trying the ox tail and apple pie) and we were fortunate to have a chance to speak with the chef, Francisco. It was inspiring to hear the passion and integrity with which he creates his dishes. We strongly recommend dining at Casa Santa Pola.
