We arrived at the restaurant without a reservation at 9:50 PM and were pleasantly surprised to be accommodated by the staff—an appreciated gesture. After being seated, we waited while the staff cleaned our table and the surrounding area, which was understandable given the time.
However, things became a bit confusing from there. We were left to navigate the menu on our own, which was accessible only via a QR code. When the waiter arrived, we attempted to order the tasting menu, only to be informed that it was no longer available after 10 PM. We accepted this without issue and ordered from the à la carte menu instead. That said, it was frustrating to see another couple arrive shortly after us and successfully order the tasting menu, despite the time restriction we were told about.
When our food arrived, it was beautifully presented and generally of high quality. Unfortunately, the portion sizes were disappointingly small—at times, almost comically so. For instance, the suckling pork dish came with beetroot sauce and just four chips, which felt inadequate and left us wanting more.
Additionally, the pricing of certain extras felt exploitative. We were charged €1.40 for a single, small piece of bread, and €3.50 for water that appeared to be tap water—and not particularly clean at that. These charges detracted from the overall experience and felt...
Read moreReservamos para 6 personas. El local, a pesar de ser alargado está bien aprovechado. Lo malo es que los camareros tienen que pasar y a veces la circulación puede ser un poco tediosa. Una vez sentados en la mesa, muy cómodos. La decoración y la ambientación es muy interesante. Todo relacionado con la cultura gallega, como un buen restaurante que quiere potenciar la cultura autóctona. El personal ha sido atento, educado y respetuoso. Nos habló en galego como nosotros a ellos. Fabuloso. Nos recogieron las migas de la mesa también. La comida es de alta calidad. Todos los productos muy frescos y muy destacables.
COMIDA & BEBIDA Al poco de sentarnos, nos pusieron unas olivas de bienvenida que no cobraron. También nos pusieron unos chupitos de caldo de pescado. Muy, muy buenos. Espectaculares!
CONCLUSIÓN: En general muy buena materia prima y buena elaboración. Recomendable pedir pescados. En la carne flojean algo. Los postres tienen buena intención pero fallan metiéndole acompañamientos de baja calidad o que no encajan como las bola de helado que ponen en cualquier restaurante de carretera. Es mejor trabajar un buen acompañamiento que esté a la altura del propio postre principal, ya que tienen una base muy buena y así potenciarlos, no conseguir lo contrario. Y el precio me pareció más alto de lo que deberían. Sobre todo en el pan, las croquetas, la empanada, los postres y la bebida. I had just finished a morning tour and needed to fuel up for the afternoon activities. As I only had dinner reservations planned out I figured I’d wing lunch or take suggestions from tour guides and/or locals.
I had a good hour to kill before my tattoo appointment so I figured a proper meal was needed since my dinner reservation was way later. After passing a few places, this one caught my eye so I stopped. Something felt right so I went right in without even looking at their menu. Turns out they offer a 3 course meal so I went for it.
My first course was a salad topped with anchovies. It was so damn good. I had zero expectations and ended up being super impressed. The second course was a soup that was exactly what I needed as I had started not feeling good with the low temps. I ended up only having a couple bites of the cheesecake because as it turns outI needed more than an hour to finish my meal. I did end up taking it to go so I could have it later on in the day.
Everything was so delicious. I’m glad I was able to have a proper Galician meal.
