SUSHI FAFA BUFFET — Restaurant in Santiago de Compostela

I tried really hard to give this restaurant more than 1 star or zero, but i couldn't find a single good thing about it. From the very beginning that we arrived we learned that ordering drinks are mandetory and they are not included in the all you can eat menu. So we were forced to pay for drinks even though we only wanted sushi. And then shortly after we learned they don't even have ginger and ponzu sauce. A sushi restaurant that doesn't have ginger is like a Spanish restaurant that doesn't have olive oil. When it came to ordering plates you can order 5 plates at a time. We got only 4 plates and the 5th plate didn't errive. We tried to ask the waiters about it, but they were all too busy. By looking at the other people's reviews and finding out how common this was, we realized most likley it wasn't an honest mistake and more of an intentional attempt to delay or cancel the last plate, so people will end up feeling full and order less food. Besides that the fish wasn't fresh and the sushi didn't taste good. I have had amazng sushi and Japanese food for many years and this was probably among my top 2 worst anything from service to the quality of food and the price. I don't think anyone who has tried the real Japanse cusine can call this restaurant...

This is not what I expected to be honest. This place offers a variety of plates however they are all designed based on one pattern of preparation. Rice was not fresh, the Nori was not fresh either, and the chicken was presented with bones and skin which was a bit disgusting, service was good but a bit shocking when we saw a waitress measuring a kid in front of everyone to see if he fits in the kid's menu!! ( by the way, no Spaniard workers at all, all Latinos which we found a bit strange) They tell you not to order extra food or you will be penalized, 2euros for each plate you leave extra; but when you ask them to serve you 2 pieces instead of 8 on a plate just to try more variety on their open menu they tell you No we can’t give you 2 that’s how it is served 8 pieces. Pros: nice atmosphere and food presentation with quick service and polite staff. Cons: sushi quality was average and a bit underwhelming for the price; the presentation and preparation were nice but the overall quality of the ingredients was below expected. We were also informed that everything was included in the buffet price (except drinks and deserts) and to our surprised we were charged for a few items like the sashimi, with no intention from the staff who initially served us to explain the misunderstanding or to make any type of discount in that sense.
