I strongly discourage anyone from visiting this restaurant due to the rude treatment by the waiter. From the moment we walked in, we felt unwelcome.
It all started with the drinks – we barely had two minutes at our table before the waiter impatiently asked us what we wanted to drink. How are we supposed to order without even having a chance to look at the drink menu (plus QR code on our table wasn't working)? When we told him we hadn't decided yet, he brought the food menu but still no drink menu!
Things got worse when it came to ordering food. I opted for a main dish, and he made a mockery of me for not ordering a starter, as if we didn't know how to dine properly in this restaurant. I explained that for sure we'll order a starter to share and my husband is going to order it.
Despite the unpleasant feeling we decided to try to enjoy the evening. They first brought us side dishes for our steak, and we waited an additional 10 minutes for the steaks. By the time they arrived, our main dishes were already cold, and even the steak was somewhat cold. I bet they forgot the meat in the kitchen.
In summary, the food here is mediocre, especially given the prices you can find much better place in Sevilla. But what truly stands out is the arrogant attitude of the waiter. Our experience was so unpleasant that we have no intention of returning, and we strongly advise others to steer clear...
Read moreThis was a big letdown. It started out great, food is delicious and also fast. But after our group of 8 had ordered the first round of wine and food, service just kind of forgot about us. We had to call the waiters everytime we needed something or wanted to order more drinks. There was another bigger table that got all the attention. We were left to sit and wait for at least 20mins when we wanted to order more food and dessert, but we had to watch the waiters carry the cheesecakes out to other tables ignoring us. When we finally managed to wave a waiter back to our table to order more food and dessert, pretty much everything was sold out already. Not surprised. Also, if you allow for large groups to come and have dinner at 10 p.m./22:00, please make sure you can also offer a small selection of food for them at that time as well. A lot was sold out and not available anymore. After some minutes they just brought us the check and ended the evening for us like this. But if you would have let us know in advance, we would have come to eat at 9 instead. We were really disappointed, the experience was just a big let down even though the ambience is beautiful and food actually really good but we didn't pay little and left still hungry and...

Amazing night at Desacato - each course was incredible and we couldn't fault the service, atmosphere or prices.
Some of the best food I've eaten and certainly the best this trip. Hard to pick a highlight of the meal but the sirloin carpaccio, the good tomato and the mussels in secret sauce are all worth an extra special mention.
Service too was exceptional and very attentive. Every waiter we spoke with was were very helpful & patient, and we really appreciated the waiter's recommendations and the fact that he timed each dish perfectly. In the UK, tapas restaurants serve everything at once and crowd the table. Here, each new dish appeared shortly after we finished the previous, giving us time to enjoy each serving and leaving good space on the table.
One tip, book for earlier in the service. In Spain they eat late. We booked our table for 8pm when the restaurant opened, and while we were the first to sit, we enjoyed the quieter pace at the start and the place quickly filled up, so it wasn't awkward at all, and it gave the waiters time to explain everything to us.
Total bill for 2 was
