El Colmaito — Restaurant in Seville

A lot of bad things service-wise happened, among things mentioned by others here. Funniest were the OMG Patatas (fries, some avocados pieces, two fried eggs (one almost raw), and 6 grilled small shrimptails) for €29. Should be illegal. The menu even explicitly said ”12 shrimps with fries etc”. The owner then came with 6 more shrimps after I had to call this out 😂 then he added an ice cream to the bill for €9 even though we did not order that. Luckily I called that out when I read on his device and asked what that was… what a joke. However, location is very good!

Also, €17 for a regular size shrimp and squash tortilla. With only 3 shrimp in it… we split it three and I didn’t even get a shrimp. It tasted ok though! Must be a shrimp shortage but they should adjust the price...

I never bash a hard working establishment who gives an honest effort, however the food at El Colmaito was largely inedible. My friends and I ordered 4 tapas; the first contained a large piece of steel wool accompanied by a rouge hair swimming in the mayonnaise, the second was a bowl of cool ravioli which had to be sent back to the burner, the third was actually an edible risotto followed by a piece of beef so fatty we could only eat the side of potatoes (which were delicious actually). Unfortunately after mentioning these garish oversights we were still charged in full with several full plates adorning the table. The good news is the shop next door by the same name is fantastic, however retail doesn't seem to translate over into the culinary adventure in...

Not even stop by! Just run away from this place. The service is horrible, so bad. I am a expat and I was visiting family over Christmas so willing to try new places when I come back home. Nobody told me about this please (I wonder why...) but I just stop for a quick meal however it ended up being very bad.

I ordered Presa Iberica and they gave me Abanico (they talked about it in front of us but since my partner and I only speak in english they thought we did not understand) and instead of telling us, they just gave the wrong thing to us and pay for the most expensive thing we actually order and we never got.

Also, the owner has the worse presence and give a terrible service, please, do not even pass by this...
