Lovely lovely lovely. Adored eating here. The food was great and the ambience as well. My advise is go early!!!! We went 2 different days for lunch. On Sunday we arrived at 14:00 and luckily there was a small space on the side at the counter near the jamon station. After that, a bunch of people started coming in and it got a little chaotic. Second day we went at 13:10 whilst there was barely anyone there and also afterwards it started filling up. I guess you can say we got lucky both days. I advise trying to stay at the counter right next to the jamon station, that way you can have the staff’s attention faster and nothings gets lost. Keep in mind you will have to eat standing and the staff can seem rude at times but it’s understandable due to the fast paced work and constant going from one side to the other. It’s probably more stress than anything. Definitely recommend trying the Piripi and the Pringá, both became our favorites. The jamon is great and the tortilla is also good but expected a bit more. We also had croquetas which were nice. Pricing is relatively cheap, but be sure to check the amounts at the end when you ask for the check because sometimes they may add a few things...
Read moreWe went to B.A.R. after our first aimless walk in Sevilla. We have expected a nice tapas dinner with wine. Well, it didn't go well from the start. The waiter told us that they are expecting a large number of customers and that there is only a place in a side that is available. Also my husband had to give up his chair when a party of six shows up in an hour or so. We were hungry and decided to stay despite the rude welcome by the waiter. (I wish we did not) The tapas: we had tapas in Barcelona and Madrid before. The tapas at the B.A.R. had no resemblance to any tapas we had in our lives. The best description of the food we ate is warm sandwiches in small buns. ... And that was not the worst part of this story. As we asked for a check, the amount to pay was €47. We paid cash with a €100 bill. They gave us €3 back. I had to go and argue with the manager to get my money back. If there was a zero rating, I would use it for this "experience". We would NOT...
