You won't find fresher and tastier seafood in Sevilla, and that should be worth the visit. The pulpo a la gallega was tender and had a bright morish sauce; and the arroz caldoso de mariscos was out of this world! The restaurants ambience is from an older time (plating from the 70s) in an endearing way. Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience with the service provided by the maître of this establishment. While he took his time and dedication to advise local patrons about the specialities and recommendations, he couldn't care less about what we ordered. And, as some have already expressed in other reviews, he didn't care to warn us that we had ordered too much (I guess his job is to sell) but did complained that he doesn't like food going to waste. The ambience was super stern, and the other waiters seemed terrified to do anything without consulting him. There was no excuse not to be kind since Spanish is my first language, but I guess it is part of the animosity of certain places towards tourists. A service style from less diverse and possibly...
Read moreEl Pesquero is a true gem of a seafood restaurant in the heart of Seville. It's been around since 1967, and locals and visitors alike keep coming back for the amazing fresh seafood dishes.
The food is simply outstanding. The seafood is sourced daily, so you know you're getting the freshest catch possible. From the juicy grilled octopus to the perfectly crispy fried fish, every dish is bursting with flavor. But the real star of the show is the seafood paella - it's a must-try!
The restaurant's decor is tasteful and inviting, with a nautical theme that sets the perfect tone for the seafood feast to come. And the staff is knowledgeable and attentive, making sure you have everything you need to enjoy your meal to the fullest.
El Pesquero is not the cheapest restaurant in Seville, but it's well worth the price. You're paying for top-quality seafood, expertly prepared, and served in a charming atmosphere. It's no wonder that the restaurant is always busy, so be sure to book in advance to...
Read moreWe had the best meal we’ve had in Spain at this place. We have experience eating at high end restaurants and tasting menus and this place matches them. The fish is fresh and caught today. All of the dishes were so good we came back for a second dinner to try more items on the menu.
The service was exquisite. Hats off to Vanessa and Juan. They treated us like royalty. We had a table of four and we wanted everything to share. Without asking vanessa arranged the dishes to come out one at a time so we could savor each dish. Highly recommend the seafood salad, the octopus and their house specialty - a soupy paella called arroz caldoso marinera. And we tried the Argentine steak the second night and it was cooked to perfection. This is a must try restaurant when you...
