I got food poisoning from this place. Do not eat here. Its a tourist scam or I guess they were very xenophobic (I'm saying this because us as Romanians were treated very poorly compared with another french couple at another table). They do not speak English or they refuse to. I ordered Lomo al whisky (platto). They initially brought us two bread sandwiches with some meat inside. We told them the order was wrong and they rolled their eyes, but accepted to take it back. 3 min later I kid you not, the waitress came back with a plate with the same meat from the sandwiches and with some sauce splashed over. The sauce was bitter and the meat still had some bread crumbles on top. How can you do that? I suspect it was the sauce which gave me the food poisoning. And on top of everything else, we refused to eat that and they refused to take it off the check(7.5 or 8 euros I believe it cost) and they threatened to call the police. We of course paid for the rest of the food and drinks which was eatable at least. I had to spend my last day in Seville laying in bed. Not very nice. Don't go...
Read moreThe croquetas were pretty good but they forced us to pay for service that we didn't order (pan y picos). We didn't knew this was ilegal so we asked and they forced us to pay and said it was a service fee (which is ilegal in Andalucia apparently). Can't recommend this scammy place. UPDATE: Since they replied to my review, I will provide more context. First of all, we paid like 1€ per person or something like that. Secondly, we TOLD the waiter we didn't want any of the couvert which we were told that it was MANDATORY because we were paying for the TABLE SERVICE. The issue here was not the 1 or 2 euro (it was a small amount compared to the rest regardless), the issue here is the blatant attempt to scam us along with the fact that the waiter LIED to us when we told we didn't want it and asked what and why we were paying it. Finally I did inform myself of the Spanish law and its true that you can charge for it when the price was present in the menu HOWEVER, you cannot DENY the costumer from waiving those products and asking not to pay them, which was...
Read moreMy wife and I had our dinner from La Gorda de las Delicias tonight. It was our first day in Seville, and after a poor lunch experience elsewhere in Seville, this experience made up for it.
We chose to sit outside to enjoy the breeze and the views, and the atmosphere was really beautiful. The waiter immediately catered to us and asked for our drink preferences. It was served in a couple of minutes. We then ordered 3 tapas: Salmorejo, Tataki de Atun, Tartar de Atun and 1 whole portion of Salmon Crepe. The food was served in around 5-10 minutes. They were good as well.
What really stood out for us was the customer service. The waiter (we couldn't ask his name) was always ready to help us. Despite him not knowing English, we still managed to communicate using the very little Spanish I knew along with some Google translate.
We went there by 845pm, and it was quiet then. But by 915pm, the restaurant was...
