After a day of shopping, my wife and I went to this restaurant. To be honest, we wanted to eat here since the menu looked pretty appetizing but we were a bit afraid after we read the reviews on here. Decided to give it a chance anyway. When we wanted to order the waiter said the kitchen wasn't open yet. I asked him when the kitchen opens and he said "well the cook comes in around 20:00 or 22:00 something like that" 😳 I thought that was a pretty big gap and did not feel like waiting until 22:00 for staff to show up 😅 but luckily, around 20:00 a different waiter started his shift and when I asked him if the chef came in as well, he stated that we could order our food. The food was really good and I would definitely recommend people to go and eat at this place. However, staff left a lot of money on the table since they seem to never have heard of upselling 🤭 they could have sold us at least 3 or 4 more drinks if they asked us instead of just hurriedly taking away our empty glasses 🫣 All in all, good experience though....
Read moreI write a gluten free travel blog, and typically do a lot of research to find food ahead of time. We had stopped here for coffee during the day, and saw that they had an allergen menu, so I thought maybe they could accommodate by celiac disease and need to be gluten free. Although they do have an allergen menu, the only thing they could guarantee was gluten free was the sausage and cheese platter and olives. It was good, but it was too much sausage and cheese for me. They did also list lactose, cereales (not sure if this is just gluten or all grains), shellfish, egg and a few more items on a separate menu. The people I was with all enjoyed their food. I hated to give this a 4 instead of 5, but, for what I was looking for had to downgrade it one.
This restaurant is right next to the Metropol Parasol. Fantastic location and amazing...
Read morePlease don’t eat here. This is not authentic Spanish food. Spanish food is fresh, this is not only packaged food but also it wasn’t cooked properly.
The starter was passable but they barely put on any oil, vinegar or herbs associated with this dish.
My sons ordered pasta carbonara. What they got was packet mushroom flavoured pasta that you add hot water to. Ithad been so overcooked it had turned into a glutinous congealed mess. There wasn’t a single piece of ham in there, nor cream nor cheese.
My husband and I ordered pork steak with salad and chips. The chips were packaged frozen. The salad was bagged salad with jarred peppers that were soggy and slimy. My steak was supposed to be medium but what I got was slightly seared on the outside and completely raw beyond that. It’s just asking for salmonella. My husband ordered well done, his was more cooked but still raw in the middle.
None of the food came together. Maybe they only have one pan in the kitchen.
They charged us €51 for something inedible. We paid €16 for something tastier and beautifully cooked off the main square.
