What an amazing hidden gem, away of the busy streets you find this bakery managed by the baker himself, who will recommend you the must try sweets of the region. The special torreja with nuts and cinnamon is a nice twist for a classic. The polvorones and mantecados are to die for, super happy that they offer them away from the "normal season"; you can feel the almond and butter in them. The pestiños de miel were outstanding, you can really feel the flavor of the honey. The tocino del cielo is something that I would avoid as an expat not used to its taste. Per recipe, it is egg yolk and sugar, and yes, it tastes exactly like that. So, if you are not keen on that taste, I would skip it. I’m pretty sure I don’t remember the various treats but they’re about as authentic as it gets.
