Don’t think I’ve ever left a 5 star review but this hidden gem deserves it. Lovely food with super good service, not pushy but attentive. They have a few outside tables but when we visited in October 23 there was construction in the road so outdoors wasn’t that pleasant.
Inside though the restaurant is very clean, air conditioned and the food is amazing, and I’ve had curries all over the world including at Brick Lane in London. I’ve been eating curries for over 40 years and if you asked me now what the best was I’d point to this place.
If you like curry then this is a well priced restaurant with great food and service - really can’t fault it - put it on your list!
I visited on my last night in the city - if I’d have been staying longer I would have returned- and thank you to the team who offered us free popadoms and a complimentary drink, I also saw them offer a taster to some diners near us to help them decide which dish to order.
The waiting staff had excellent English and our experience here really made our holiday - please visit them and give them your custom - they absolutely deserve the title of best curry...
Read moreHaving visited the same Branch restaurant in Moraira, the difference between the two locations is enormous—both in food and service.
In Moraira, the service is excellent. The staff knows how to set a proper table, listen to the customer, and create a welcoming atmosphere. In Valencia, however, the experience feels more like a cheap fast-food diner. They open a wine bottle like it’s a beer can and throw the cutlery on the table as if tossing a bone to a dog—completely lacking system or care.
As for the food, our experience was just as frustrating. We ordered lamb chops to share and pointed out that instead of being evenly cut, the portion consisted of one huge chunk and a bone. Instead of addressing the issue, the staff immediately got defensive, insisting that if we wanted a “bigger” portion, we’d have to pay extra—which wasn’t even our concern. The more we tried to explain that it was about proper plating and service, not portion size, the more uncomfortable the situation became.
So, we’ll happily return to Kathmandu in Moraira—but never again to the...
Read moreBest UK style Indian I've had in Spain. I went late lunchtime on 10/03/2025 and had the "Menu del dia".
Sheek kebab starter with Raita and Mango chutney. Nicely spiced and in my opinion made by the restaurant rather than shop bought (many restaurants seem to buy their starters in now).
Main course: Chicken Madras (hot) with a garlic Naan. Same spice level as a UK medium. Really, really nice. Good thick sauce with chunks of chicken. Naan bread soft and garlicky on top and crusty underneath. More than enough Naan for the curry. Best Chicken Madras I've had for a while and I live between Leeds and Bradford.
Opted for a coffee rather that a desert. Good strong coffee.
Service: Both the young man and lady serving spoke English and Spanish. Both were absolutely lovely, friendly and polite.
Menu del Dia + a draft pint for 20 euro.
I sat outside but if I was going to go out for an evening meal with a few Spanish friends the inside is modern and spacious. Highly recommend. I'm definitely going back there the next time I'm in Valencia, and I'm...
