Impromptu date night with the special lady . Wasn't planning on going out to dinner on a Friday night but she mentioned food and we headed off in one direction and wound up in another heading to one of our favorites. Passed Spanish Flowers Seafood and changed plans ... Didn't know it existed, but having been a patron of the Airline location since the early 90s, I figured this would be a good bet. We sat on the patio, had micheladas and the sampler plate .... For a Friday night it wasn't too busy on the patio. Our service was super prompt, attentive and friendly. To start we had the stuffed avocados. Seems like everyone does the stuffed avocados differently and she like to try them each town she sees them on the menu. This one seems to now be her favorite way. The sauce on them was so good. It would be worth a trip here just for them. The sampler was a great sharing plate. Two of everything good on it, with plenty of fries. I had and order of the Chile Tornados. They were a nice addition for the night, slightly blistered, but not full on roasted. The micheladas were cold and the sauce was more hot sauce based than tomato base for those who have micheladas everywhere they go. This will definitely be on our short list for Mexican Seafood. .... Thru the window we watched one of the waiters do pyrotechnics with a spray bottle and a sizzling fajita plate ... Like fireballs in the air kinda show. So we'll need to bring friends...

I’m surprised the reviews for this new establishment are as high as they are. Immediately upon entry, the music was so loud you couldn’t hear the lady asking for our seating preference and it just goes down hill. I asked for a beer on tap and was brought a hot bottled beer. Wife ordered a frozen margarita and she received one on the rocks and both were brought out after our appetizer. I drank the beer but she could only drink a few sips of hers. ( it just tasted terrible). We were still charged for it, fyi. We ordered appetizers but specifically asked that they come first before the entry and they still arrived simultaneously. Geez, you couldn’t even move anything around the table. I ordered the two crab cakes, with a salad but was told they didn’t have any salad dressing, other than ranch, which was fine, but then I was given tartar sauce instead. The crab cakes were displayed with the shell facing upwards, (a first in my 35 yrs of ordering cakes) were very salty and under-cooked. I was only ably to eat about 3 bites and just pushed them to the side. My wife ordered the 7-piece shrimp. They seemed to be a pretty good size but after everything else, we decided to just leave all the uneaten food on the table as a hint. We still left a $10 tip for an $80 bill before taxes, but I will never visit this place again. I’d rather drive another mile north to the Mambos or further north for a decent seafood...

I've been here a couple of times with my family. I've picked up to go a few times as well. Today, I picked up an order, and the bag felt a little too light, so I checked my food and was missing food, and the portions were very small. I ordered the fried shrimp plate, which should come fried rice, salad fries, and a piece of toast. The plate had no rice, very little fries, and salad. I went back to tell the girl at the counter that the plate was missing food. She said "oh you're supposed to let us know you want the fried rice" I told her that I've ordered there before and I've never had to ask for the fried rice that it's included. I even showed her on the menu where it says what the plate comes with. I didn't like that she was basically blaming me for the order being incorrect. She just went to the back to give me a small side of rice. I was still missing the toast, but her attitude really put me off, so I left. The first couple of times, the plate came with the big compartment full of rice and the shrimp on top of the rice. They plated this as if it were a meal for a child, very little fries, and small salad. I would suggest checking your to go orders. I dont think I will be returning here after...

Never judge a book by its cover... We were staying at the crappy hotel next to the restaurant overnight. The outside was a bit chessy but the inside was really spacious colorful. The food was good. The dessert were over the top, check out Churro stand brough to the today. The family gave it a 👍🏼. Stay with me. The biggest surprise is how they celebrate one's birthday. First, they put a big freaking sombrero on the birthday person and imagine the lights dim and the mananitas sounds off in all the speakers with a mix of 50cent its your birthday. Then the server goes to everyone at the table with a bottle of tequila and has you open your mouth and fill it with tequila. Man, it was wild, I felt I was springbreak in Matzalatan. Never seen that at a restaurant. I tell you that birthday boy had an experience. I should of recorded it, but you need to experience it.
