Absolutely amazing experience! We were served by Ania and she was super attentive and able to accommodate every request. We ordered mix of pierogi and salted herring for starters, two portions of zurek and schabowy XXL for the main course. The food was EXTREMELY tasty. The herring was delicately salted with garnish of onions and linseed oil. Pierogi were exquisite. My usual test is the meat pierogi - easy to get wrong but every kind was superb. Zurek was simply righteous zurek, the way it should be with lots of kielbasa and egg. My scbabowy was huge and thick, but not overtly so. Served with a side of boiled potato and fried cabbage it was a challenge to finish, despite tasting amazing - it was just so big. We ordered some luksusowa potato vodka and draught beers to go with the meal and it went down swimmingly - especially the combination of smooth vodka, silky herring and pickled cucumber.
Overall I would rate the experience 5/5. Specially thanks to the cooks Mariusz and Ewelina for the magic they worked to get us fed.
The bill came to 362 zloty for the pierogi mix, herring, 2 zureks in bread, XXL schabowy, portion of pickled gherkins, 3 beers and 5 shots of luksusowa ziemniaczana. This left 3 people stuffed and very merry. I would deem it extremely reasonable considering the location.
Will definitely come back and recommend...
Read moreBig let down. Came here because I saw they had polish dishes I wanted to try but they were poorly executed. If you are a tourist looking for exposure to polish cuisine it's probably sufficienent given the mainly strong google reviews on here, but it's what you would expect being in a tourist area. Know it's better elsewhere. Especially the zurek (sour rye soup) we found to be incredibly lacking compared to other places.
Other than that, we decided to get the beef tartare and could not finish it. I won't say any more as the picture says it all with the grey lumps.
Edit in response to the review comment:
Beef turns grey when it's been exposed to air for prolonged periods of time, it's not a matter of differences in the meat you get. The decision to pre grind the meat before the order was placed allows it to be made in bulk, but comes at a cost of freshness. This is a decision the kitchen has decided to make, along with the decision to serve it in this form. You can see in your own menu photos how tartare is suppose to look when it's grinded fresh right...
Read moreWe decided to eat in Specjały Regionalne in the evening on 27 Aug 2025. We were attracted by lovely cosy looking outdoor area, good few people eating there and the inside looks great, too. The waiters were really friendly and helpful. Maybe we got there on a bad evening because our food was not impressive at all: I got very salty 'bigos' and 2 thin slices of dry bread, my wife got 'gołąbki' swimming in a bowl of tomato sauce and how you supposed to use a knife in a bowl..., and our son got average 'schabowy'. I had better food server by 'Pudliszki' in a jar. You can't change e.g. potatoes for dumplings with you main but you can have sauce or no sauce option like the dinners came pre-packed. Some wines come in glasses but some just in full bottles. I've seen amazing pictures of food from this place posted by other customers so won't complain too long. It's your choice if you want to eat there and I wish all the best to...
