Extremely disappointed with the customer service – unprofessional and concerning behavior

I called this restaurant on July 29th to inquire whether their meat was halal – a very standard and respectful question that many practicing individuals ask. To my shock, the woman who answered the phone responded with unwarranted hostility and an extremely condescending attitude. When I simply asked where the meat was sourced from, she replied, "Do you normally call 5-star hotels and ask where their meat is from? I don't think so." She refused to disclose any suppliers and dismissed my concerns by vaguely stating that they “get it from several places” and that it’s halal.

When I called back on the second number they provided, hoping for a clearer answer, the same woman picked up again – now even more defensive and confrontational. She said, "Didn’t you just call from another line? If you’re not comfortable, there are plenty of other places to go eat." I was shocked at how unprofessionally and rudely I was spoken to – especially for such a basic dietary inquiry.

She also claimed no restaurants carry halal certification, which was not only inaccurate but said in a way that felt dismissive and patronizing. Her tone throughout was abrasive, condescending, and borderline discriminatory. My friend had a similar experience just minutes before, and this lady even asked if I was calling “on behalf of my friend,” again with the same unwelcome tone.

What should have been a simple and respectful exchange turned into a very unpleasant, disappointing, and frankly, concerning interaction. It’s deeply troubling that such a basic question was met with such hostility, and I was left feeling unwelcome and unfairly judged.

I had planned to dine here, but after this experience, I will not be visiting — and I urge the management to seriously review the conduct of staff representing their business. Basic courtesy, transparency, and respect should not be optional in any...

A group of us (15 pax) visited this restaurant/bar for the first time. Prior to doing so, we paid an advance and they were advised in detail of all a la carte requirements for all 15 pax. We walked in the room was set-up with the crockery, cutlery and glassware as requested. We wait for the majority to arrive and then placed two drink orders (sprite and gingerale) - it came over half an hour late. We had to go and summon a waiter as no one bothered to check if we had any requirements. The food orders came but the waiter just placed the plates on the table - we did not know each dish and its accompaniments as per the individual orders placed. We asked the waiter, and he was clueless. They brought some of the food items. The balance came half an hour later. Some dishes included a 'crunchy green salad" but there was no salad until we complained and requested it. During the entire evening - their karaoke room internet connection kept going off so we could never really sing an entire song. The reason for the gather was to have a karaoke evening. Quite disappointing on that count. The food was palatable and while the service was slow, the waiter was prompt to react if we complained or demanded better service. Was it a good experience - one can say, bearable. Would we return- yes if their internet connection works...
