Review for Coffee Bean Sri Lanka The recently reopened Coffee Bean in Sri Lanka has returned with a stunning new interior that elevates the overall coffeehouse experience. The ambience is undoubtedly one of the best, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. Interior and Ambience The revamped interior design is impressive, featuring modern decor and comfortable seating. It creates a warm and welcoming environment that makes you want to linger and enjoy your time there. This aspect truly sets Coffee Bean apart and enhances the overall coffee-drinking experience. Pricing and Coffee Size While the prices at Coffee Bean are higher than those at Java Lounge, the coffee sizes are notably smaller. However, the taste difference between the two is minimal, so if you’re primarily focused on the flavor, you might not notice a significant distinction. Food Offerings One noticeable change with the reopening is the absence of fresh food items. Coffee Bean now offers only pastries and patisseries. While these treats are delicious, the lack of a broader menu might be a downside for those who enjoyed their previous food options. Conclusion In summary, Coffee Bean Sri Lanka’s new look and feel are outstanding, making it a top choice for anyone seeking a great coffeehouse ambience. Although the prices are higher and the coffee sizes smaller compared to Java Lounge, the taste remains on par. The limited food menu might be a drawback for some, but the quality of the pastries and patisseries is commendable. If you’re looking for a place with excellent ambience to enjoy your coffee, Coffee Bean is definitely worth a visit.

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at Maitland Cresent, Colombo 7 Location - In Maitland Cresent at the Horton place junction. Parking slots available for 8-9 vehicles both in front and at the back, and parking along Maitland Cresent is possible during the nights. Ambience - Two floors of spacious seating. Both the floors have outdoor seating. The ground floor is usually crowded and noisy when compared to the top floor. Service - As most other coffee spots, you need to order at the counter and you’ll be served at your table. The preparation and service time was impressive. We got everything we ordered in less than 5minutes! Food - Ordered a tandoori chicken pizza, a tuna sandwich, A double chocolate drink and a chocolate mousse drink. The tandoori pizza was pretty decent having six rectangular slices. The dough of the tandoori pizza was thin, crispy and soft. The topping had the right amount of everything that is required and tasted good and how it should be despite some of the chicken pieces being charred. The tuna sandwich although it was good, wasn’t what we was expecting. The bread was soft and had a considerable amount of Tuna but it was too much tuna for our liking. Both the drinks were really good but there was nothing much different about the two drinks. You will find hard to say which is which only by the taste. VFM - If you are looking for a place to hangout, with good food and good drinks, would say this is the go to place. Although prices of the drinks are slightly on the higher side, would give it for them given that you can hangout for as much time as you want here. I stumbled on this place - that is now one of my favourite hangouts...quite by accident. I have found out now, its a well known cafe for many. Yet, to me who had heard of it, but not paid enough attention to its location, this was a nice surprise. Cappuccino is my 'thing' and I love to hunt out new places to check out the experience. The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, serves one of the very best cappucinnos. I love it. The regular version gives you a fairly large cup and the coffee is made to perfection. The ambience is perfect for a cozy chat, hanging out with friends and also, quite the place to sit with your lap top and tap those keys to the stacato of the music. Its quiet. Its comfortable. Clean. (Oh! Yes, I need cleanliness at all times) and Coffee Bean gets gold stars for this, yet the food can take a little upgrading. For such a lovely place with such a fine crowd of people constantly coming in...I think they should work on offering yummy and wholesome snacks plus mini-meals with better flavour. What I had as a meal, could use some more love. If they get the flavours all delicious, it will no doubt increase their popularity and gain more revenue. I point this out, as I love cake and coffee yet, when you are really hungry after a shopping trip or are planning to work from there for a couple of hours - one needs a good meal that tastes awesome. This is the only area they fall short, hence my 4 star rating. But if you love chocolate and are craving chocolate cake, blueberry cakes, cheesecakes, armond cakes and cookies...you have just got to, drop in here. Thanks! Coffee Bean for a nice evening out. LW.

Terrible experience! - Reckless customer service from Coffee bean & Tea leaf !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Complaint: Refusing to show CCTV footage Theft item: Seven Sins Helmet (SS1500) Date: 25-07-2021 Location: The Coffee bean & Tea leaf No 2, Maitland crescent, Colombo 07 Billed Time: 06:27PM Checked out: 7:15PM

I was a frequent visitor at Coffee bean till I had to go through this worst experience ever. To start with the incident as usual I visited the restaurant on 25-07-21, parked my bike at their official parking space and headed in leaving my Helmet locked in the bike, I realize this is the biggest mistake I have done, but still since I visit regularly I never thought this would happen.

25-07-21 I seated at their ground floor lobby where my bike was within my sight. Received a call where I was distracted and within few minutes the helmet was missing. I also saw a bike roaming around. I rushed to the spot and inquired from their staff at the parking, they said they are unaware about this. I moved in and informed the restaurant staff their Manager was unavailable; provided my contact and they asked me to come the next day to check the CCTV.

On 26-07-21 got call in the morning from the Manager, he said he will inform their IT team and will allow me to check the CCTV Footage soon. Since I didn’t get any response from them, on 27-07-21 i went and raised this incident at the Police station (Cinnamon Garden Police), I went to the coffee bean location with the Police officers, The Manager was there, Police officers started inquiring and Manager repeated the same story that this has been escalated to their IT team. The manager promised us to get back, The manager called back on the same day and promised to get the IT team on 30th Friday,

I waited patiently for an update till 30-07-21, since there was no response from him I called in the evening, the answer I got was that the IT team has not turned up. I kept following up and called him back on Saturday 31-07-21, the manager again carelessly responded that the IT team has still not come. No response yet, with utter frustration I called back on Monday, The Manager stated that their HR will call me back. The HR also didn’t get back to me. On 04-07-21 I again called the Manager complaining that HR didn’t call me, yet he was continuing with his false promises,

I was very much furious that I had to call the Police again on 06-07-21. Then the Manger called me to inform that it is beyond his level and further said they will need their company Directors approval to check their CCTV footages, if not he requested a Court order.

I never thought I would get this kind of an irresponsible feedback from a well reputed restaurant in Sri lanka. The helmet is worth around 35lkr and for me it’s priceless.

Very careless with the way they handled from their manager level and they don’t care about keeping their word. Just say something to get rid of the customer at the moment but don’t do anything according to their words. Above all I only wanted to check on the CCTV Footage from them!

I hope at least their higher management will attend to my matter and sort it out ASAP. I would like to let the customer base or anyone who visits coffee bean & tea leaves (Col 07) to be very cautious with your belongings since the staffs act zero...
