Fazly's — Restaurant in Colombo

If you're looking for the best burgers in town, Fazly's is the place for you.

Located ideally just off the Colombo-Batticaloa Highway on the way to Pettah, its central location makes it a great spot for a quick meal after a busy day of shopping or sightseeing around some of the oldest and busiest areas of Colombo. Might not look like a fine dining restaurant (because it's not), but, the food you get (especially the burger) is nothing but some of the finest you can buy for the price.

Of all the dishes available, their most popular dish has to be the Beef King Burger. True to its name, it is bigger, juicier, and more delicious than your average burger from your average burger joint. The patties are seasoned and cooked well and generously sized, and you get not one, but two patties. Their other beef, chicken and mutton burgers are to die for; not to mention their submarines, kebabs and grilled chicken, which are all top notch.

While it isn't always packed, it may get crowded at times and service can fluctuate between exemplary and average, depending on time of day and how busy they are.

Opening in the evening, Fazly's is an ideal place for late night snacks and a must go for all burger lovers. Not the most ideal place for a date (unless you're both craving burgers), but, it's ideal for family outings and group meals or after...

Usually I've had good experiences with Fazly's, however lately the quality of the products and the overall business integrity raises some concerns. We ordered cheesy fries, a club sandwich, chicken wings and a water bottle. First of all they sold the water bottle to us at 120 rs when the marked price is clearly 100rs. Secondly the cheesy fries were appalling. They have not used any proper cheese on the cheesy fries, the only thing that they have done is slathering with some horrendous cheese sauce (most probably Eazy Cheezy by Edinborough) which tastes like puke. I'd rather get the plain fries than this crap cz honestly that tastes way better. Thirdly the club sandwich was a measly portion, it would have been nice if they could increase and improve the portion size of it, especially if you are charging 1200 for it. The chicken wings were quite nice and that I actually enjoyed. It's just sad to see a business that delivered so well in the past, which literally grew with us since our childhood going downhill like this. Hope you guys fix...
