Hadramout Restaurant — Restaurant in Colombo

We had Half chicken BBQ Biriyani & Curd salad for lunch. The food was okay and sales staff seems friendly. Since myself and husband are not good eaters, we asked the waiter to pack it for us. We didn't even touch one piece of chicken and ate only a small portion of one piece. The waiter took it inside to the kitchen and handed over us the packed food to take away.

It was very DISSAPOINTING to see that they have taken out all chicken (Both the entirely untouched portion and what is left from the other chicken part). Its a shame to see ONLY RICE and salad packed when we came home to eat. We were starving and its disgusting to eat only rice with salad which was packed by them. We have never ever encountered such CHEAP ACTS from any restaurant in Sri Lanka & its a shame on you "Hadramout Restaurant"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its not a simple ignorance or carelessness of employees but an act of a very cheap cheating. We have paid Rs. 2,500 rupees for BBQ Chicken Biriyani and it was only rice when they parceled. And Its even funny we thanked the staff for the service not knowing they do such cheap acts when packing food. LOL

Hope the management would see this COMMENT and ensure that other customers would not face a similar disappointment. I have included pictures of bill and the initial food plate. Please don't disappoint customers with cheap acts!!!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hadramouth Restaurant, and I must say – the experience was fantastic! We ordered a large portion of grilled chicken mandi biryani, and it exceeded all expectations.

🍗 The Chicken was beautifully grilled – crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. The smokiness added a perfect charred aroma that paired so well with the rice.

🍚 The Biryani Rice was fragrant, fluffy, and cooked to perfection with a balanced mix of spices. The portion was very generous, making it perfect for sharing.

🧅 Garnished with onions, green chilies, fresh lime, and coriander, it not only tasted amazing but looked very appetizing too – just like in the pictures!

🧑‍🍳 The food came out hot and fresh, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

💰 Worth the price – great quantity, top-notch quality, and authentic Hadrami flavors.

If you're looking for a delicious and satisfying mandi or biryani experience, Hadramouth Restaurant is definitely...

I am sorry but today when i visited the restaurant the standards has drastically come down. The Naan Roti is more or like a papadam. Unlike on previous occasions they didn't serve the full naan but has cut it into so many pieces. Very strange. Even the BBQ portion is not at all hot. The served BBQ dish was cold. Doesn't have any taste at all. I remember everytime when we visit Hardramout Restaurant the food was served hot hot. But its NO MORE. I checked with the steward whether the chef has changed he said not the chef but the management has changed.

I will rethink more than thrice before stepping to this restaurant. Even the cleanliness has dropped to below the level. Both the toilet seats were completely damaged. The Management doesn't care a hoot to make replacements which will not cost more than Rs 2,000/-. They are interested only in making money.

PLEASE RECONSIDER BEFORE VISITING!!!!!! Doesn't deserve even one star but unfortunately google map lacks...
