It was indeed a great time at Pastamania . I straight away to the mains , I had the Alfredo Penne Pasta with chicken , corn chicken , broccoli and cream sauce . After the order was taken it took about 20 mintues for the food to get prepared since it was packed during lunch time and finally it came. Well first I had good look at the dish , and then had piece of broccoli dipped in cream sauce. And then started eating the pasta with the chicken and I'd tell you this dish was just the perfect pasta I've ever had in Sri Lanka . The cream sauce just kept occupied when ever I ate a piece of pasta because the sauce just perfectly poured over the pasta. The chicken tasted fresh with the corn flavour coming into play. Whilst I ended the dish there was a bit of sauce that was left in the plate , only if I had a roast paan to dip and finish it off.
Moving on the dessert I had the Mango Mellow Gelato. This came with a lot of Marshmallows on top and well a piece of Mint on top of the frost. Yeah Mint first and then the mellows . Slowly the Gelato came afterwards and then pieces of Fresh Mango. It stood by the name Mango Melato and then finally beneath was the Cheese crumble , and that was just icing on the cake the crumble to end of this wonderful dessert.
I took a portion of Calamari and Garlic cheese toast for takeaway , and by the time j went home it was dried but nevertheless it tasted good .
Washrooms: They are located in the first floor which is a bit of hassle to go and find it if your dining in the ground floor , but it's clean .
Service was great , the staff is always ready to answer...

After listening lots of mixed reviews we have been dying to visit them. @pastamaniasrilanka is a Singaporean chain restaurant opened up few months ago near Queen's cafe next to @ilgelato.lk in R.A De Mel Avenue. The restaurant got all kinds of retro vibes mixed with unique architecharal features. Downstair seatings were exposed to kitchen for the customers to see their dishes being prepared. Upstair was dectorated with italian culture wall hangings and they got a kids area for parties and celebs. They also have a house of il gelato cart.
Their menu book was quiet impressive with all the display pictures and prices. You really don't have to waste your time on picking. Most of the things at pastamania seems to be little overpriced. We ordered Seafood Tom Yum Pasta(rs.1300). A generous portion served with prawns, squid, clams and shittake mushrooms in a creamy tom yum sauce. If you are a real tom yum fan, you would love this dish. Loved the aromas and flavours infused in every bite. Passion Tea Quencher(rs.500) was huge, absolutely a thirst quencher. We loved it. We were not happy with the Italian Soda-Strawberry (rs.380). It was just a soda with added sugars and artifical strawberry syrup. All prices are inclusive of service charge and VAT . . . The order came within 20 minutes. It was quiet resonable as they had number of customers at that time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This place is for all the italian food lovers....

Location : Along Duplication road at the Alfred House Gardens junction. Vehicles can be parked in Alfred House Gardens and few along Duplication road.
Ambience : Small, clean place with two floors of seating. Nothing fancy, nothing to complain either 🤷♂️
Service : We were ushered in and guided as to how to make our own pasta almost immediately as we went in. (We didn’t order pasta though 😜)
The staff were welcoming and ready to help and even the food didn’t take that long.
Food : We ordered chicken bites for starters, a medium pizza with half beef pepperoni and half basil chicken, an apple soda and a passionfruit soda as drinks
Chicken bites were crispy and appetising. Good choice for a starter.
Medium pizza is 10” in radius and is enough for two. Thin crust with generous amount of pepperoni slices and minced chicken. Liked the pepperoni part better although would have liked if the pepperoni slices were fried a bit more and had better seasoning.
Basil chicken was ‘okay’, a bit bland for our liking. But overall the pizza was not that bad.
The passionfruit soda was fizzy and strong but the apple soda was more watery.
VFM : This place was buzzing with people when first opened, but today it was just us, another couple and few uber eats guys. The food although wasn’t wow is not something you will dislike.
