TOM YUM THAI — Restaurant in Colombo

Used to be a good place but quality has gone down as of late, and prices have gone up by more than 200%. We ordered a papaya salad, Thai beef curry and chicken red curry with some steamed rice, and the bill was Rs.3500+. The chicken was decent, but the beef portion was tiny with barely any beef. We recently dined at Tom yum Thai. The interior is cozy and calming. The service is wonderful, the owner took her time in serving and making sure everything is in order. The food is excellent. We took the must take Tom yom soup, which had the rich flavours and entirely satisfying. I loved their mango sticky rice, mouth watering. The only fall back I noticed was the price. Its expensive. Went to this place with high expectations because of what we had heard before but truth be told we were quite disappointed. Food is tasty but portion sizes are quite small. We tried the prawn pad Thai for 3250 but it was barely enough for one person. Mango sticky rice was 2150!!!
