We had a wonderful fika here. Let’s break this down: - Food/Drinks: We had a kanelbulle and a kardemummabulle that were the right amount of sweetness. As for the caffe lattes, they were the best we’ve had so far in gothenburg. Delicious! - Service: The staff was very friendly, and although it got a bit busy they made sure to refill water, clean tables... Overall very good! :) - Atmosphere: It is a very cozy cafe with a small terrace that I’m sure is wonderful during the summer. The only inconvenience is that it isn’t super comfy (they only have high stools) - Conclusion: 4.5 (but 5 in reviews for the buns and coffee!) Alex&Emi

Best Coffee Latte in Gothenburg without a doubt. And then provided ambiant music provided with Sonab/Carlsson speakers... could it be any better? Didn't want to flip the speaker over when I visited yesterday, but it looks kinda like an OA14. But it is a Carlsson design for sure. @da Matteo Victoriapassagen, please let me know which Carlsson speaker this is. And your warm chocolate is also very good, but you should put cinnamon also on the top extra with the choclate you sprinkle on it now, it will enhanche the flavours. Love your shop, will be back next time I'm in Gothenburg :D

It is good to leave the well-trodden path of franchise coffee places when possible, and this is the case at "Da Matteo", a cosy little place in the Victoria Passage which is the result of an entrepreneur's love for the black brew. Not only does Da Matteo serve good espresso, latte, cappuccino and the like, through a handful of outlets in Gothenburg, but they also have their own roastery which allows them freedom and flexibility in creating coffee blends and flavours. All that was clearly not enough for the owners, and that led them to establish their own bakery as an accompanying business now enabling them to serve delicious pastries alongside coffee drinks. My only constructive criticism is aimed precisely at this aspect, as it would make a world of difference (and, in my view, it would be a plus) if the selection of pastries was more reminiscent of an Italian basic choice, rather than the ubiquitous Swedish...
