MR Cake — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

I visited this place hoping to enjoy some cake and coffee, but the experience was very disappointing. The cake I received was in terrible condition – it was broken, with a missing piece, and looked like it had been handled carelessly. When I pointed this out to the staff and asked for a replacement, they initially agreed but didn’t actually replace it. Instead, they tried to press the broken part together and insisted it was a new piece.

When I told them it was clearly the same cake, they denied it and responded quite arrogantly, saying I’d have to pay for a new slice if I wanted one that wasn’t broken. To make matters worse, they started talking about their “business model,” which was irrelevant and confusing. The chef even came out to explain things in technical terms that weren’t helpful to me as a customer. In the end, they didn’t resolve the issue, and I left feeling very disappointed.

The quality of service here was lacking, and they didn’t seem to care about delivering a good experience to their customers. Based on my experience, I would not...

NOTICE & SUGGESTIONS: *The floor wasn't clean & some of the tables needed some wiping, a bit tidying will be appreciated so on that matter it will only be - 2⭐⭐. *We went 2hrs before closing time so we still expected we can try the different flavour of their CheeseCakes but only ended buying 2kinds Hallon & Dulce CheeseCakes, good thing the RedVelvet satisfied our sweet cravings - please make more extrasss...🍰 - 3⭐⭐⭐ *The Cappuccino was made more than 15minutes tsk tsk tsk - 2⭐⭐ *The QUEUE wasn't really the issue bcoz it's a newly open café place but hoping amidst the queue there were still food that we wanted to order... while waiting för our drinks to be made so we finally saw 2 newly made CheeseCakes but we can't order them för follow up bcoz we need to queue again hajjj so that's - 2⭐⭐

I love cake, and I decided to go to Mr.Cake today to meet him, he is in front of the pier, I was served at the counter by a very friendly attendant, who served me very well, and as I was accompanied I asked for two slices of cake, one it was caramel and another was a white cake with strawberry ... I sat on the sofa that you have at the establishment, and most were dirty, but ok, the atmosphere is even beautiful, the service is nice.
