As a Chinese from the region where we eat Lanzhou beef noodle (Ramen) almost everyday, I highly recommend this restaurant.
It meets all the basic criteria of a good Lanzhou ramen:
Also, I would give free salad 10/10, very authentic ingredients and flavor. Yes, we usually eat them as side dishes to the Ramen every morning, sometimes together with 1 boiled egg.
I can do what I usually do at hometown, a bowl of ramen with ErXi(which is the noodle kind, a bit thicker than usual, something like spaghetti #5), free salad and enjoy!
If you like thin noodle, go for MaoXi (something like Capellini #1, even thinner than spaghettini) ; JiuYe is also quite popular if you like wide noodle (something like Fettuccine).
This is probably the most authentic Chinese ramen restaurant in Sweden - a very hometown taste. I even hardly find the restaurant with this level in some eastern or southern Chinese cities. :)
Just be careful about the portion size, which is...
Read moreSeems to have been quite a change since they were in Krokslätt? Anyway this was in Engelbrektsgatan. The Zha Jiang Mien did not look at all as in the picture. They fill things up with iceberg lettuce, same beef is used (not stated even that there was beef, but supposedly pork with black beans). Unfortunately nothing looked like the pictures, even the waiter was confused what he had sold us and had to check with the chef. The premium beef, and all beef were the same. Iceberg lettuce on that as well, and did not match the images or how it was when they started out.
Noodles were still alright, but I think it would be a disapointment for people who knew this place from before. The premium beef on the images uploaded from previous uploaders differs. I think they might have just sold the place and the ones running it now is making it run down.
The service was confusing and a bit rude with the chef consistent saying that this is what we ordered, and the waiter not sure what he gave us as he also mentioned it did not look like their own images. I would avoid...
Read moreI recently dined at Noodle Master in Gothenburg and was absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a beautiful blend of traditional and modern decor.
The star of the show, however, was the food. The noodles were simply divine – perfectly cooked with a delightful texture. I tried the beef noodle soup, and the broth was rich and bflavorful, with tender slices of beef that melted in my mouth. The variety of noodles and other dishes on the menu is impressive, ensuring there's something for everyone.
The service was equally outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations and ensuring our dining experience was top-notch.
Overall, Noodle Master offers an authentic and unforgettable culinary journey. It's a must-visit for anyone in Gothenburg looking for delicious Chinese noodles....
