This is the TL; DR version since I don't have room here: Me and hubby were the only 2 people in entire restaurant. Do NOT believe that Michelin review as it was from 2007 and I think they've been to afraid to return since. Front End Manager alternately ignored or hid from us (our original server); server #2 ignored us, and server #3 tried to get us to pay for inedible food that we refused to accept and sent back immediately, and I mean immediately because we were the ONLY people in the freaking restaurant. Had to get our own water refills, and Front End Manager scowled at me, yes, super mean face, scowled at me, for doing so (while she was apparently making herself a cocktail, because did I mention, we were the ONLY 2 people in the place?). My appetizer came cold, didn't complain as cold salmon is a-ok with me. My main course came cold, complained and refused immediately. Brought out another, it was warmer but cooked until pure rubber -- without even the benefit of seasoning. Refused immediately, and they let the dirty plates set on our table for 45 minutes, cuz they didn't have anything else to do since we were the ONLY people there. 99% if their wine list doesn't come with bottle dates, because it's soooooo fresh, you'll think they bottled it themselves in the bathtub that very morning!! Spent almost 3 hours there, but NOT because we were having a good time. I was also yelled at by one of their alcohol vendors who was sitting at the table next to me (little did I know) and decided to butt into the conversation I was having with the Front End Manager about their super cheap wines for which that they are charging ridiculous amounts. Front End Manager didn't stop him or say a word, so if you go there and expect to think and speak for yourself, be prepared for the staff, management and really, anyone who might be hanging about, to have a go at you. Saw Front End Manager as I was leaving the water closet and told her we had a terrible experience and she did a terrible job. She initially had nothing to say, so I walked on and now, the place was about 1/3 full of people she thought it was a good time to yell after me: LISTEN TO ME! COME BACK HERE! Then proceed to yell at me for disagreeing with the vendor who was berating me when I first arrived. THAT is typical Swedish customer service and hospitality services for you. I made sure everyone there knew what I just put in this post, and did I mention, we were the ONLY people in the place (until we were waiting on the check and about 8 more people came in). Read moreMy husband and I recently went for a weekend-trip to Göteborg. While strolling around in the city area a Friday evening, we spotted Tvåkanten, which from the menu looked rather interesting.
We went inside, however the waiter left us waiting in the hallway for quite some time, despite the fact that the restaurant was almost empty.
When we finally got the waiter's attention, we several times kindly had to ask him for a table for two, and we were finally shown to our table.
We however at the end decided to leave, as the waiter made us feel rather unwelcome. It seemed as if he has decided to ignore our presence.
What a pity!
In generel I find Göteborg such a nice place to visit.

Read moreKatastrofal service av en servitör. Tyvärr färgade det hela upplevelsen. Vid ankomst möttes vi av en kraftig, skäggig servitör i 50-års åldern med glasögon och backslick. Han var fruktansvärt otrevlig, burdus, arrogant och oprofessionell.
Vi hade en reservation där jag specifikt hade önskat ett bord lite avsides pga att jag är lite ljudkänslig. Jag hade fått en bekräftelse av hovmästaren att det gick att lösa utan några problem.
Tyvärr hade inte min förfrågning noterats i vår bokning eftersom servitören tar oss till en del i restaurangen där det sitt ca15-20 personer på fredags after work.
Jag ber om att få ett bord lite avsides med lite lägre ljudvolym. Servitören ser besvärad ut.
Jag frågar om ett bord som ligger i andra delen av restaurangen längre bort från AW människorna. Servitören tar oss dit. Jag frågar servitören när sällskapet vid ett dukat stort runt bord bredvid oss kommer. Då fräser han till mig ”-Men herregud! Du kan ju inte gå ut en fredagkväll och tro att det ska vara helt tyst!” Jag sa till servitören att jag har frågat efter ett avsides bord i min bokning och att jag nu bara frågade om ankomsten för sällskapet bredvid oss. Då fräser servitören ”-Ingen aning.” Sen slänger han upp menyerna på bordet och går.
Senare under kvällen hör jag hur en annan servitör eskorterar sina gäster in i restaurangen och frågar dom om dom vill sitta vid ett bord med ganska hög ljudvolym eller om dom vill sitta mer avsides med lägre ljudvolym.
Det kom till min kännedom att det till och med fanns ett helt avskilt rum en halv trappa ner inne i restaurangen som var öppet för servering. Eftersom vi var ute så tidigt på kvällen satt det inte ett ända sällskap där. Det hade passa mig perfekt. Vi blev aldrig erbjudna bord där.
Jag har aldrig någonsin blivit så illa bemöt av serveringspersonal som jag blev av denna servitören. Det var det värsta jag varit med om.
