Brasserie Jacqueline's — Restaurant in Stockholm

To start this review, we had booked a table for 12 to celebrate our friend's birthday in a good restaurant. Stockholm, being a very beautiful/rich city, we trust the restaurant. We arrive on the spot and, first surprise, they place us on 2 round tables of 6, so we were not together. For a convivial moment it's not great. Second point, the service. I lay the bases, 17€ the glass of wine ok no worries, but, when the waiter/waitress, spills some wine on the table without coming back to clean, well. I'm not asking for the moon, just a minimum of training, especially in this kind of restaurant at an average price of 40-50€. Nevertheless, the quality of the food is there, at the level of the ingredients and it is well seasoned. Small negative point, the quantity is a little thin but correct. I was all excited about going here but it was a big disappointment. The service was so slow. The lamb was great but very Amal portion. The steak that was suppose to be medium rare and was looking like it was was harder then a full medium. Made me wonder if they made it from frozen meat. And dispute the fact that we made an big order and spend a lot of money on food and alcohol they said they would charge us for the dish when we swapped. The swap became pizza that was slighter bigger then 2 billy pizza. Thou very tasty. The latkes was the smallest latkes ever served at Hanukkah 😅 and really nothing special. Order something else…

We said we were in a rush to leave since the food took forever to come out and still the check took 25 min to get in order. Seems way too long even if I know it was a big order. We decided to just sign whatever they charged us but...

I give this place a 2, and that's a stretch. A lot of stuff was out of stock, although it was an early Sunday. The waitress was unengaged and did not offer any options to the items we asked for that they did not have.

Took forever to get the order, and when I asked for the check, it took over 25 minutes. She came back and asked me for my "Maitres app number" again. When I asked for the complementary coffee and trufle when paying for Maitres, she said that our table time would end soon. Despite the fact that she took forever to get the check. And also there was still 30 minutes left on our time.

I said screw it and paid up and left.

These kind of "hip" restaurants that pop up in Stockholm nowadays live a while with the help of influencers hyping up the place.
