Great food, terrible service (by one guy). Wanted to try authentic swedish meatballs and did my research about stockholm before coming here. The Italian waiter with glasses was extremely rude, unfriendly and expected a tip at the end. He wouldn't take our orders despite us calling him multiple times and made us wait quite a bit. But he was very friendly to the table next to us, a group of very young girls. Sus. The other worker said only this guy can take orders. The restaurant was not busy at all and we were a party of 3. I wanted to try the meatballs and drink and my friends were accompanying me. We stayed for max 20 minutes but he made many comments about how it's inappropriate for us to just order for one person... We didn't even touch the free toast. I genuinely wanted to try the meatballs but his attitude really put us off. Terrible service. Other waiters seemed better but we had the misfortune of being served by this individual. *Edit: saw some other reviews on TripAdvisor about the inconsistent/bad service, guess we got really unlucky.

Oh hell yes! I had the lamb fillet and the Nils Oscar India Ale. The lamb was quite possibly the best I have ever had, and I love lamb and order it often, so that’s saying a lot. Extremely flavorful and divinely tender to the point I barely had to chew it. I was skeptical because the place is so close to the Hilton where I’m staying and I figured it was going to be a mediocre tourist restaurant. You know the kind, that would otherwise go broke but for the tired tourists just looking for a bite and not knowing any better. But this was *not* that. It was packed with very nice Swedes (they’re all nice) having great meals and drinks. The front patio is a bit small and was full when I arrived, but I sat by the bar looking out the window. Don’t pass this up!

Found a good pub for lunch while walking around the city during the summer. The location is near the water, however, there was a large construction going on in front of the restaurant so sitting outside was loud. The restaurant has been around for 30 years so it has a lot of history inside. Bla Dorren meaning "the blue door". The interior is a pub so the interior is made out of lots of wood. The servers were friendly & accommodating. The food was good. We ordered hamburger, small salad & beet salad. The food overall was good. Maybe next time the construction outside will be completed.

We came to this restaurant after we got a recommendation from our walking guide, it was a good choice to come. It‘s a traditional (i think pretty old as well) Swedish restaurant where you can get all kind of Swedish dishes. Waitress was welcoming us very nicely. We had a classic Swedish meatballs (8,5/10) of course, it was the best choice on your first day in Stockholm. Smashed potato was so buttery and smooth and creamy, liked it, the meatballs were also super yummy, combined with the cranberry sauce gave you such a nice flavor attack. Recommended!

This is a Stockholm classic. It works for casual gatherings and beer with friends, but also as romantic casual dinners. Great for first dates. The place has old Stockholm interior with support arcs and a dark cozy atmosphere, every table has a candle. The food is pretty great too. The beef and pork steaks are just as you’d expect them and they have great spinach dishes for vegetarians. The wine selection is fine too. The only negative aspect is that the staff is always too busy, however they are very friendly.

Unwilling to wait at the nearby People's eatery? Then come for meatballs at Blå Dörren! A daily menu, a nice atmosphere and very fast food delivery. They provided crispbread while waiting but the food came very quickly. I had Deer Meatballs that were yummy even without the supplied cream sauce. It came with lingonberries, cucumber salad and mashed potato. I ordered a warm beetroot salad as a side, which was also quite nice. A very satisfying meal and now I can cross-off meatballs on my Swedish To Do list!
