💔 1-Star Review – Disrespectful treatment from management and door staff
⭐☆☆☆☆ Unfortunately, my night at Freja was ruined despite the excellent bar staff. What should’ve been a great evening turned into a disappointing experience due to poor behavior from management and security.
➡️ The restaurant manager (23 years old, as I was told) showed a complete lack of respect and professionalism toward me as a paying guest – after spending over 2500 SEK. Immature attitude and unfit for a leadership role.
➡️ The Swedish host at the entrance acted smug and pretentious – not at all welcoming.
➡️ The security guard (Middle Eastern background) came off as the stereotypical power-tripping bouncer – not helpful, not friendly, just unnecessarily confrontational.
I will never support this place again and strongly discourage anyone in the IT or fintech community from doing so either.
👉 Do yourself a favor and go to Pelago instead – where real hospitality, class, and customer care still...
Read moreThe bar Söder has great views and a cool concept but there are way too many people and the barkeep is unprofessional and thinks he is more important than the guests.
The service in the restaurant is much better, we did have to wait a few minutes to get seated but after that everything is super smooth and nice.
The kavring bread is amazing, sweet and with deep interesting flavors. The tartar is clean and very good. The strömming is also good but some of the smoked potato pieces are hard and unpleasant. The chicken main smells amazing when it gets to the table but is served with a crispy sallad that lacks both in taste and preparation. The fish main is very tasty but the Pak Choi stems could use a blanching, they are pretty hard and raw tasting. For dessert we tried the havtorn pie, the filling is great but the base needs some re-work.
All in all the vibe is great, and service in the restaurant is almost perfect and while the food is very good there are too many mistakes for a perfect score and the bad experience in the bar drags the overall score down. They should also do something about the restrooms so that the restaurant do not share with the hundreds of bar guests, they are not nice or...
Read more5-star flavors of the food, 2-star portions. The atmosphere was of course amazing due to the rooftop location, and the service was nice and friendly. We took our drinks out onto the terrace before the food came, and The waitress went to the terrace to find us when our food was served. The beef tartar was in high quality, the meat texture was soft and creamy but not soggy, and the green tomatoes triggered our appetite. The kroppkakor was a pleasant surprise, I was expecting it to be overwhelmingly heavy just as most of the kroppkakor, yet it was simply flavorful. The grilled spring chicken was the best I had in Stockholm, no burnt parts yet the grease of the chicken skin was perfectly reduced. The bones were removed and the chicken breast was stuffed in green sauce, which helped remaining the moisture of the meat and brought in the scents of herbs. My only complaint is the portion. We were heading for the Streetfood Festival that day, so we only took some appetizers in this restaurant. I realized that if I would like to have a full dinner here, I need to take 2 starters and 2 main dishes, plus snacks...
