The food quality at this restaurant, along with the very affordable prices made this place a favorite in Stockholm. We had the salmon(grav lax) and herring, along with two snaps options. Snaps came out to be a bit expensive, but both food options were so delicious and complex in taste. Normally, herring would not be something I preferred, but the sweetness along with the acidity of the toppings made it come together. I recently had a brunch at Matrosen Smörrebröd with my friend and was thoroughly impressed. I tried a salmon sandwich and one with skagenröra; both were exceptionally fresh with well-balanced flavors. Situated in the heart of the city by the water, this eatery offers a variety of delicious sandwiches that cater to diverse tastes. Out of all the places i've eaten Smørrebrød in Stockholm, this place was the best. If you want to have a quick sitdown for a beer and a snack, this is the place. I've tried the Herring, the Skagen and the Beef smørrebrøds. I've liked the Skagen so much so that I ordered it again. The staff was superb.
