Edit 1 year later: Unfortunately have to downgrade my original 5 star rating. Returned here last night for the first time since our last visit, and things were definitely not as good. First of all, the state of the bathrooms was completely unacceptable. There’s no reason the rubbish bin should have gotten as bad as it did. It looked to be definitely more than just a days worth of paper towels, it looked like it hadn’t been changed in a week. I asked if I could have chicken added to the vegetarian palak paneer, in which the waiter refused the request. I can understand potential cultural obligations behind not adding meat to vegetarian dishes, but there was no explanation provided and it didn’t seem like our waiter could communicate well in Swedish or English unfortunately. They were busy but the service was unfriendly, rushed and hostile. My plate arrived with the lamb karai still sizzling and no warning about the extremely hot cast iron bowl it was served in. The curry was still too hot to eat 30 minutes later and we ended up taking it to go. The food was fine, didn’t blow me away like it did the time before. I don’t know if it was just an off day for the staff, but I’m not sure if I’ll be too keen on returning. The state of the bathroom was entirely unhygienic.

Precious review: Amazing food and probably the fastest service I’ve ever experienced from any restaurant I’ve been to. All curries, naans and sides were out within 5 minutes and clearly fresh. The service was friendly and attentive. Loses a few points for the atmosphere as it seemed like they had one song on loop for about 45 minutes and it didn’t fit the vibe of the restaurant at all. Overall fantastic food though, definitely better than other Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants...

Amidst the vibrant streets of Stockholm, lies a culinary oasis named Mowgli's Kitchen, a dazzling Indian restaurant that tantalizes the taste buds with a symphony of flavors. From the moment you step in, the ambiance whisks you away to the heart of India, immersing you in a cultural tapestry of colors and scents. As an ardent food enthusiast, I found myself enchanted by the delightful fusion of tradition and innovation, which sets Mowgli's Kitchen leagues apart from the rest.

The menu, a culinary adventure in itself, showcases a harmonious blend of authentic vegetarian and meat-based dishes. While their classics, like the beloved Tikka Masala, possess a mesmerizing familiarity, it is their daring exploration of lesser-known regional delicacies that left me in awe. Each sumptuous creation is crafted with the utmost care, striking a harmonious balance between robust flavors and a refreshing lightness, ensuring that every bite leaves a lasting impression. The use of fresh, high-quality ingredients elevates the entire dining experience, transforming each dish into a gastronomic masterpiece. Without a doubt, Mowgli's Kitchen is a haven for epicureans seeking a soul-stirring journey through the diverse and delightful...

Once in a while you come across a place that you know will stick with you for coming years. Mowglis Kök is one of those places. The owners, originally from Bangladesh decided to open a restaurant serving food inspired by mothers and grandmothers rather than opening another Indian restaurant. And they made the right decision. The food is tasty, fresh, well cooked and made with high quality products. Try the traditional Mowgli Dopiaza or the Biryani with lamb racks and you will start planning your next visit and what to have then. Don't miss the Peshawari Naan, a delicious sweet naan that goes well with the well balanced heat in the Mowgli Dopiaza curry. The lamb racks Biryani was just amazingly fresh snd and the rice was cooked to perfection. The place is friendly with the staff making sure you are happy and leave with a full stomach. The place is casual and invites anyone to have a meal that I think could be considered a gem in the Indian cuisine-inspired jungle that is present in Stockholm today - maybe because the westernised semi-Indian dishes are replaced by authentic...

This is a great little indian restaurant that has a unique feel and menu that you don't get from "traditional" indian restaurants. The menu focuses on bengal street food and has a lot of personal touch. The piazo appetizer in particular was loaded with flavor. I could have eaten that all night - it's a must try! The staff is friendly and helpful and extended themselves by offering extra rice. They also provided a big bottle of hand sanitizer to our table. Slight negative remarks for a mixup with the check that would have charged us for an extra beer, and for not taking Amex, which I feel should be a given for a restaurant of its caliber. Overly political artwork on the walls is also annoying. I get enough politics in my life that I don't need to see pictures of indian women slapping donald trump while I'm eating.
