We had one of our best meals here in Sweden at this restaurant. We were fortunate enough to walk in without a reservation at lunch time, and were seated immediately.
The restaurant is lovely; it’s grand and elegant. Service was excellent. We were in our travel clothes as we were leaving Stockholm today, but we were treated warmly and respectfully just like any other guest.
We wanted to try as many dishes as we could, so we ordered the quenelle and the yellow take kingfish as our starters, and the monkfish and chicken farci as our mains.
Every dish was excellent and very well-done. This restaurant presents its cuisine as French-Nordic, and we could definitely see and taste the fusion of fresh Nordic ingredients with the refinery of French techniques.
The quenelle was particularly delightful; like a dumpling that bursts open with fresh king crab and scallop in a delicious broth. The monkfish had a texture similar to lobster, and soaked up the porcini sauce so well. The butter-fried toast was a crispy delight.
We were also served complimentary fresh-baked sour dough with butter prior to our starter and mains.
We would highly recommend...

At the top floor of NK, naturally hosts one of the best restaurants in town. I’ve been here before in frantzents concept.
Now back to try the myllymäki edition.
We were here to celebrate and didn’t feel like champagne so I asked for a drink instead. Unfortunately they were not able to prove a gin martini (guessing no dry vermouth) but the staff was intrigued and delighted by my question. Seems like cocktails are not part of the regular day to day business! But, they were able to whip up a great Negroni.
As far as the food goes - obviously the prices are very high but the setting and food quality matches the pricing. The food is incredible
The starter toast Boberg was amazing. Quenelle with kaviar also great but the toast was the winner here
For the main course the fish was absolutely incredible. One of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had
We settled for the 2 dishes but there is an array of exciting desserts to try as well as a cart of small pralines and more
All in all, the perfect setting for an old school mad men style lunch (albeit without...
Read moreWe visited for a Christmas lunch. The set meal featured traditional Swedish Christmas starters like cold prawn hors d'oeuvre, lox, marinated herring with Kalix Löjrom, duck liver pâte, ham, Västerbotten cheese, crispbread and spice bread. This was followed by a warm main of duck breast with root fruits accompanied by fried kale. Dessert was a dark chocolate mousse topped with soft maraschino cherries and a fruit sobert. Drinks cost extra. Overall fantastic, professional staff, classic setting.
We were seated with a lovely view of a wintry Kungsträdgården. Food wise, the crisp bread and cheese were amazing and marinated herring was fresh. The duck breast was a letdown, overcooked and hard. The dessert is a chocolate and cherry lovers' delight but didn't appeal to me. My order of Chardonnay was a pleasant drink that was full of flavourful notes. The Swedish brewed coffee was a smooth medium roast that provided a good wrap up to our visit.
It is not mandatory to have the Christmas set as you can also order á la carte. Reservations recommended as this restaurant is...
