Rooftop bar with amazing view. Sadly enough, however, with the worst service ever. We visited this venue for the first time (April 21 around 7 pm) and I went up to the middle bar where a darkhaired bartender was in the middle of serving two guests. I though the polite way was to queue behind these two guests, but while I was waiting, a very self-important guy leaned over the counter and yelled an order at the bartender. The bartender asked him to wait his turn, which of course satisfied me. But when it was my turn, the bartender preferred serving the guy who jumped the queue, instead of me - so I tried to claim my right by telling both of them that it was in fact my turn to order. Both of them claimed that I was wrong which made me angry and I insisted on being served, since I had waited the longest and was not ready to accept me being punished for chosing the politer way of queuing up. I calmly explained to them that I did not realize that queuing was not the right way in this venue and that you should try to yell your orders. It should be mentioned, by the way, that the bar was not packed at this time, the very large counter was actually pretty empty, except for the two guests in front of me and the impolite one cutting in. It therefore shouldn't be too difficult for a bartender to have an eye on his guests. I am a waitress myself, so I know. The reason I am writing this, however, is the unprofessional way of the bartender to handle the situation. While he suggested to serve us both simultaneously, he quickly poured me my three plain beers, but as the guy jumping the queue ordered time-consuming cocktails, I asked to at least pay for my beers before he started mixing. He told me to wait, I said I didn't want to, since I had waited long enough - and he grabbed my three beers and denied me any service at all! All I wanted was getting served in the order I was there. Not to be punished for not being as rude as that other guy. Needless to say, my friends didn't want to stay after being treated like this. So, if you want a great view while having a drink, this is the place for you. If you want good service - or service at all - find a...
Read moreI have to say that the hype that Tak had did not deliver in the slightest. Unfortunately I had one of the worst experiences in a restaurant ever.
The food was just eye candy, did not have any flavour in the slightest. We had ordered the chef's menu and had to wait at least 45 minutes in between courses. Meanwhile people who came after us got their food and drinks within 15 minutes of ordering them, which is unacceptable. Furthermore the table was not even set up with cutlery in the beginning of the dinner. Luckily we are great with chopsticks, but I saw that every other table had gotten their cutlery instantly, and we recieved them after half the dinner had passed. And when we ordered a non alcoholic wine, the waiter came back after 20 minutes saying "the wine is completely out of stock" and asked us if we wanted some drinks instead. We answered that we wanted some nice sour drinks with the food. The drinks came after 20 minutes and were not in the slightest sour but had a strong ginger taste to them. All of this while the table next to us had ordered and received 2 drinks each.
By the end of dinner I had enough and asked the waiter to skip dessert and just give us the bill. When the bill arrived it was 1390 SEK (695 *2) while it did not say "per person" on the menu which it does on every single restaurant i have been to. The waiter had given us the drinks for free, but still charged us full price for the dinner which wasn't even finished. I said to the waiter that I will not be paying this much for the dinner. After I had a talk with the manager I still had to pay 695 SEK, which was still alot more than I think the dinner deserved. The only good thing about the experience was the location. Otherwise it was absolutely horrible.
If you want to come here, make sure that you either have alot of patience, or that you will be drinking alcohol during your dinner. Because in that case you will have a...
Read moreTwo words: too salty. While the views are outstanding and the menu looked interesting, many of the dishes were too salty and heavy handed. The sake is also crazy expensive too for the price / quality ratio, although we may be biased being from California.
We opted for the menu of the month which included:
Oysters, fermented chili sauce, ponzu. The menu included one of these and boy was it a salt bomb. Could barely taste the oysters around it -- recommend picking up the oyster to get it out of the sauce instead of slurping it like we did.
Scallop, soy and yuzu dressing, cucumber, jalapeño. Although this used the same sauce as the oyster, it was much better since the sauce just dressed the scallop lightly. Pretty decent overall but negative points for the same sauce in two dishes
Beef tartare. The fried shrimp chip was a nice touch but this was also quite salty.
Chirashi: closer to a salmon poke bowl than a chirashi in ingredients and flavor. Pretty average poke bowl, could do with a bit more tartness.
Pork bao. We added this on and it tied with the scallop as the best thing we had. The sauce was a bit too sweet and the bao a tad doughy, but we enjoyed it.
The sake they recommended was quite pricy (over $100 usd for the bottle) and too sweet. Service was on par for Sweden. A bit bummed in this meal since we'd had pretty great food all over Stockholm but the one time we ventured into Asian food, it was...
