Restaurant Wokhouse — Restaurant in Stockholm

The food here is decently priced for central Stockholm; there was a flat price of 139kr for all the main dishes when we went (24/03/2016). There's a reasonably large selection of Asian inspired, Western-interpreted dishes to choose from. Every main dish can be served as a vegetarian alternative which is a nice bonus.

Me and my friend both ordered different dishes and we were both satisfied overall. I would add though that I opted for noodles, which were incredibly disappointing; they reminded me of the sort of noodles which got served in our school dinners at my dingy secondary school in London. This was unfortunate as the main sauce was really nice! I'd advise to just go for the rice which is something that is really hard to mess up.

What was particurlaly strange was that as we were eating the restaurant slowly turned into a night-club, literally. When we arrived there were just a few other people eating food and by the time we left the music was booming, there was a large queue with a bouncer and there were many locals downing the cheap beer (32kr for 0.4l of draught beer! Great value!) and trying to chat each other up. We didn't really mind because it was just quite amusing, but if you want a nice quiet meal maybe come here in the early evening to avoid the late-night...

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Terrible food! I gave 2 star just because the server was very attentive with us. I ordered chicken pad Thai - the first red flag was on the menu - it said "our own take on pad Thai". Ok, I'm pretty open minded to try different versions of a dish, and I ordered it. The second red flag was that the dish came with a bread bun (photo) - a bit weird bread AND noodles. The taste was terrible: the noodles had a consistency of a pasta dish rather than egg noodles. The sauce was too spice but not in a good way. It seemed the put a lot of chilli to compensate for the lack of other spices. The sauce was creamy but also not in a good way either. I was expecting to have a nice noodle dish but got deeply...
