AM Store — Local services in Stockholm

I want to start by mentioning that I am otherwise a happy customer of this store and will keep coming back for more of your great products. However the can of taro powder I bought last week tasted like nothing and definitively not what was advertised on the can, whatever amounts of cold/hot water/milk we tried it with to make sure we weren’t misunderstanding how to use this powder (as any previous taro powder we’ve got otherwise tasted something at least). So I understand your store staff can be busy but to not be able to return this product (because I had used too much of the powder, while still being advised by the staff to try more of the powder with varying amounts of water) or at least get shown it could taste like taro (your café staff had warm water around, wouldn’t have taken long to show me what I was maybe doing wrong) leaves me miffed. I am still looking for taro powder that actually tastes like what taro powder should give you, but of course you’re not using this can at the café and you don’t have any alternatives in your store, so if anyone else knows alternatives for decent taro powder or how to make this one taste anything like taro then please send...

Recently move from California and was out searching for Asian Grocery options. Was happy to find shop. Interior is very clean and well stocked. They have almost all the sauces you would ever need to make any Asian dish. They also have a dry goods section downstairs with noodles, powders, etc. Fresh produce is a bit lacking, but I think it’s not a pig deal since you can acquire the more common produce elsewhere. There is also a freezer section with a decent selection. Snack section is very tiny.

One criticism would be the organization, particularly with regard to the sauces. The method of organization was not clear at all… I basically had to walk the whole store twice to locate and compare all the sauces I was searching for. The same types of products of different brands would be spread out on 2 to 3 different shelves throughout the store.

Can’t comment too much on the Café area. All I had was a pork bao, which was definitely from frozen, but not bad nonetheless. Service was kind and...

I really want to like this place, unfortunately you need to check every single item for the expiration date as a lot has expired months ago. They need to improve here. Additionally, they are selling some expired food knowingly, to a discounted price. According to Livsmedelsverket this is not allowed, you aren't even allowed to give away expired goods for free. I've tried on multiple occasions to inform staff about this so that this can be fixed, they claim that they are allowed to if they inform the customer and give a discount. This is such an unprofessional place, putting people's health at risk.

Obviously I've tried to find some contact info to AM Store, but there does not seem that there is an email or chat. That's the reason for this review, I would've hoped to avoid it. Pics from visit on...
