Temple Bar sits in the heart of Stockholm’s Old Town, and what really makes it stand out is the setting. We grabbed a table outside and immediately understood why this place draws a steady crowd: the view is incredible. From our spot, we had a front-row seat to the bustling cobblestone streets, with tourists and locals weaving through the colorful historic buildings that make Gamla Stan so memorable. It’s a perfect people-watching perch, especially on a clear day.
We ordered a round of beers and a plate of chicken kebabs, which turned out to be a great pairing for the early evening vibe. The beers were crisp and well chosen, and the food was exactly what we needed — nothing overly fancy, just solid pub fare done right. Service was generally friendly, though it leaned more toward casual and hands-off than attentive, which fit the relaxed outdoor setting.
Overall, we had a really enjoyable time here. It’s not a five-star, once-in-a-lifetime experience, but it doesn’t try to be. Temple Bar is the kind of place where the atmosphere does half the work — and for that, it’s well worth a stop if you want a laid-back drink and snack in one of Stockholm’s most scenic...
Read moreWe came in for food today and left disgusted by the service from the waiter. We simply asked if they need bookings out of politess and he looked at us like we asked the meaning of life and then answered “no” in a condescending tone. This was not due to a language barrier as he continued to speak to us in perfect English. When asking about table service he bluntly said “go inside and order at the counter” and dropped the menu on our table. He also made presumptive comments such as “are you Americans?” after we slightly shifted a table to allow our small group to fit better. We are Australians. And then he continued to say “well, when you are in Europe, you dont move the table - you should wait for us to move the table.” We sat down for 2 mins and decided we were too disgusted by his rude service from the beginning. There is absolutely no reason to speak to...

I inform you that this is my...
