Engelen — Restaurant in Stockholm

Went to Engelen with a friend two nights ago and the service was awful. I had to get up from the table and talk to three different people to figure out how to order food. I finally managed to track down a server that took my food order. We started eating and two more friends arrived so we asked one of the waiters to order more food and he said that he wouldn’t even take our order for 20 minutes because it was so busy. At that point we just said screw it and decided to leave. I asked for the bill which he reluctantly brought. The $15x2 cover charge we had already paid was supposed to be subtracted from the bill but it wasn’t. I was so frustrated with the slow and rude service that I just left. So we paid an extra $30 to listen to a lame band from outside, in a crowded place where we could barely order food, to eat mediocre food. I won’t...

This is probably the best place for music, drinks and food in all of Stockholm! There's live music basically every night!! The bar is great, staff is wonderfully kind and professional and the atmosphere of the place is marvelous. It's in Old Town, so its close to everything worth seeing in Stockholm. I highly recommend Engelen. It has been open for extremely long too! There's a night club in the basement, so you're covered, and in the summer it's one of the best place to sit outside for drinks. Very friendly pub style restaurant 😁 There is a stage in the front for live music and seating throughout the back. The server was super friendly and even made a really good joke at the end of our meal lol The food was delicious 🤌🤌The atmosphere was closer to a tavern style and not a restaurant which was a nice change of pace.
