I find it overpriced and disappointing - food is pricy but very mediocre: my wife's burger was soggy and overly salty, my risotto was half-cheese thus heavy and too salty too; scallops were just OK; cocktails were too sweet and too watery, and the choice is very limited. I missed the fact that there was live music that day, so we had to pay 20 CHF per person for a gig, which was a monotonous whine with absolutely awful sound quality: screaming drums, fluctuating solo and just a trace of vocal.

To add to that from the recent experience: nothing has changed: very passable food, watery cocktails and distorted sound. The place is just not made for the acoustic requirements of the bands they're...

My opinion is the best place in the Basel city, this glamourous and traditional restaurant offer the greatest concerts that i i ve seen, some of my photos have been made at the Brazilian Carnival in Atlantis in 1985. I ve seen the best musicians of instrumental music there too : Hermeto Pascoal, Egberto Gismonti, Naná Vascocelos, Sebastião Tapajós and Baden Powell . The owner Onorio Mansutti in that time invited many others musicians and painters and always envolved in the high level of the world culture and he created some socials aids programs, NGO called Kinder in Brasilien.
