KaBAR — Restaurant in Basel

I had a disappointing experience at KaBAR in Kaserne, Basel. The food and tapas were tasteless and seemed to be made from poor quality ingredients. Additionally, the service was unbearably slow and inattentive. However, the worst part of my experience was rude treatment towards my wife and baby.

Overall, I found the venue to be unpleasant, with only an acceptable selection of beer and a great location.

I believe that businesses should treat all customers with respect, especially families with young children. I hope that KaBAR takes customer feedback seriously and addresses these issues in a respectful manner. Gemütliche Bar mit kleineren Schwächen beim Mittagessen Die Bar überzeugt durch eine angenehme Atmosphäre und freundliches Personal – bis auf einen männlichen Mitarbeiter, der etwas unmotiviert wirkt. Das Mittagsangebot lässt etwas zu wünschen übrig: Teilweise handelt es sich möglicherweise um Convenience Food (z. B. der häufig angebotene Hackbraten), was in Relation zum Preis enttäuschend ist. Die angegebenen Preise auf der Webseite (18–25 Fr.) stimmen nur bedingt: Pasta mit Salat oder Suppe kostet 22 Fr., das Fleischmenü 25 Fr. Der geringe Preisunterschied ist schwer nachvollziehbar. Good bar, great music, nice selection of beers and liquors, tasty appetizers and cool environment. It is great for group meetings and casual drinks. Not so big inside, which could be a deal breaker for some people especially during winter but overall it's a nice place to start drinking. Most of the time is full with young people. A must...
