It's crazy how underrated this place is - some people would rather go to city restaurants and pay twice as much when they can have an amazing salad/pizza/sausage here at a decent price overlooking the river and watching local artists juggle with fire or play songs in the guitar or dance salsa. The atmosphere is amazing in the evening and I had the feta salad and the beef sausage and they both were very good! The sausage was huge and the feta salad was healthy and came with toasted wholewheat roll! A refreshment store located at the right place at the right time. We visited for drinks in the afternoon when the sun was shining bright and it got too hot to walk around Basel. They serve all types of of cold drinks from Iced coffee to spirits to colas. The drinks are served in reusable cups which you have to pay a deposit for and you get it back when you return it which is a good concept to avoid waste being thrown around the place which makes it a nightmare to clean. a great place if you want to enjoy tasty food made with lokal ingredients. On warm summer evenings the walther buvette is especially inviting. But be weary, you won't be the only one that had the idea to eat here. Often there is a long queue to order and almost no seating (you can grab your food to go tho).
