Ufer7 Basel — Restaurant in Basel

We had a great time at Ufer7.

The location is easy to find, easy to get to, and overall very friendly and casual.

The staff is, in my opinion - the best that we have interacted with in Basel.

Knowledgeable, friendly, kind, patient and flat out nice. We'd likely go back there over and over, just because of the staff.

The only thing I think this place needs to improve on is, size of the food portions VS price.

It does not seem proportional, as the portions that you order are simply not worth the price. An average 25-30 CHF per person, for a cup of soup, one extremely small burger (literally 2 bites) and 4 slices of ham.

I'm sure this is acceptable to Swiss locals, but man - as a tourist, the offer...

This is one of the best places to go out in Basel. Location is great, right next to Rhine, with a beautiful view (if you a lucky to get a table on the patio).

I had visited few times with friends and colleagues, and food was par excellence every time and plated as a work of art. Service tops even the food. Servers are very attentive and not intrusive. Spectacular experience every time.

My only reluctance to posting this review that other people will read it and want to go there - so to make sure you get a table - make a reservation. You will be rewarded with an excellent lunch of dinner, great food, drinks, and service. My favorite...

It used to be one of my favorite places in town, but sadly not anymore. The menu is now very limited, and everything is hugely overpriced, even by Swiss standards. The food is okay, but nothing special. It tries to come across as fancy and sophisticated, but the quality is often mediocre (though one salad was very good). The only real upside left is the location—right on the riverbank—but it can get quite noisy.
