Having been to multiple KFC locations considered “the best” such as in the Caribbean (including jamacia) I didn’t have high expectations. I also live in USA the home of KFC. However, I was presently surprised by 2 of the 5 items that I tried.
The chicken pieces are wonderful! Even better than that of Jamacia (the chicken there was dry). The chicken pieces that I ordered were a breast and thigh. They both were very juicy, well-seasoned, fresh and practically ‘fall off the bone’ tender as we call it in the USA. The skin is crispy and flavorful. I came here July 4th to support American business since I am away, but the chicken pieces were so good, that I had a craving to come back. The fries were also hot and fresh, not enough salt yesterday but today it was perfect. The portion size for the fries is unexpectedly large.
The price however is extremely high, but that’s to be expected in Switzerland. Honestly for the quality of chicken received, I think it’s a fair deal.
Yesterday I tried the chicken strips- those were underwhelming due to being extremely bland and not very crispy. The small chicken bites were okay. I also ordered 3 extremely small hot wings for 5 CHF/USD which I didn’t think was worth it at all. Barely any meat on the bone and just average tasting, not even that spicy. Cheaper and tastier in France and much better in Jamacia as far as the hot wings.
Service was slow yesterday (I guess because I ordered a variety box and had a larger order). Today it was quick which I appreciated.

Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at KFC. While eating, I discovered what appeared to be either a hair or a chicken feather embedded in the fried chicken. This is beyond unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one that should uphold basic food hygiene and preparation standards.
The sight of this was not only unappetizing but also raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and quality control in the kitchen. Proper cleaning of chicken and maintaining a hygienic environment should be a basic requirement, but clearly, that wasn’t the case here.
This experience completely ruined my meal and left me questioning the restaurant’s commitment to food safety. I cannot recommend KFC based on this experience, and I urge management to take immediate steps to address these glaring issues. Customers deserve...

Also the origin of the chicken in highly questionable (there is a chart hidden near the counter that specifies origin): Most chicken is not from switzerland even though the big ad screens advertise swiss chicken. Last few times the chicken was way too salty. One time it was severely under cooked. There is constant confusion of the service. Wait times are long. The employees are most likely considerably underpaid and have horrible work conditions which manifests itself in the food.
