I recently had the pleasure of dining at Piazza Italia, and my experience was a mix of highs and lows. The outside seating arrangement, reminiscent of European countries, set the perfect stage for a delightful meal. The atmosphere exuded excitement and elegance, making it a charming place to dine. For my main course, I opted for the Tagliatelle al salmone, a dish of fresh egg pasta with smoked salmon and aurora sauce. While I was disappointed with the meal itself, the salad served alongside it was truly delicious, showcasing the freshness and quality of ingredients used at Piazza Italia. Despite the culinary letdown, the service at Piazza Italia was commendable, especially considering the bustling crowd of customers. Our waitress, fluent in English, French, and German, was a true gem, ensuring that we felt welcomed and attended to throughout our meal. While my dining experience at Piazza Italia had its ups and downs, the overall ambiance, service, and the delightful salad definitely left a positive impression. I would recommend giving this restaurant a try for a taste of Italy with a side of excellence.

Piazza Italia is a culinary haven that transports you straight to Italy. The flavors in each dish are a symphony of authenticity, crafted with the finest ingredients and a genuine love for Italian cuisine. The warm and welcoming ambiance, coupled with the attentive service, creates an inviting atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience. Piazza Italia is a must-visit for anyone craving an unforgettable taste of Italy right in the heart of the city.

This place is an overpriced tourist trap, but that was expected considering the location. The staff were friendly, but the food wasn't great; everything was overcooked and underseasoned. Unfortunately, I was in Bern during a public holiday and this was one of the few restaurants that was open alongside other tourist trap establishments so not much of a choice there.

It will definitely be our first and last time coming to this place. My friends and I decided to go for coffee after having dinner and after strolling around the city. We ordered two cappucinos and one coffee (all decaffeinated), as it was already past 9 p.m., in addition to an ice cream dessert. When the orders came, the two cappucinos were worlds apart --- in color and taste. One was darker, the other lighter; one got the expected taste, the other was like warm water with coloring, bland and tasteless. When we called the attention of the waiter, the manager heard us, and it was actually him who justified that it's the normal taste, totally dismissing our feedback in such a hasty manner.

When you order the same thing and they come up different, I don't think it's rocket science to say that something is amiss. The waiters were quite apologetic, though, but the manager maintained his nonchalant, indifferent attitude.

With the horrible experience that we had, we definitely won't...
