Bio Fred — Restaurant in Geneva

Lovely little place in the Old Town of Geneva! I really enjoyed my fresh juice, made on the spot, in this tiny gem of a shop. All fresh, plant-based dishes and drinks, plus a few items to shop (herbal teas, grains, nuts, spreads, refrigerated drinks, chocolate, freshly made wraps and salads), sometimes gift items like natural, plant-based products (body lotions etc). It is well hidden but definitely worth a visit! Staff members are very nice and ready to explain anything you may need to know, every time I go the atmosphere is warm, welcoming and vibrant. On my first visit I had a cold-pressed juice and bough some fermented veggies and a freshly-made raw seaweed “tartare”. So good! Many fresh raw foods available - which is not an easy thing to find. Your order is prepared while you wait, and you can sit ouside to eat/drink and enjoy the atmosphere of the Old Town… the silence of the pedestrian area and its history, as the shop is nedested just behind a church and not far from Saint Peter’s cathedral. What an amazing place! Vegan is becoming so mainstream now that most places do vegan junk food. This place is all about health though! It’s very tasty yet simple at the same time. I had their plat du jour; it was both flavorful and generous in quantity. Their salad was amazing, and I topped it all off with a great coffee (for you coffee lovers), a brownie and a chia pudding. I also had a green smoothie that was so good. I highly recommend this place to anyone in a quest for a tasty and healthy vegan meal in Geneva. The ambiance is also very chilled. We found our favorite bio cafe! The lady was very kind and nice, welcomed us even we couldn’t speak French. We had charcoal vegetarian latte, soup of the day, meal of the day, chocolate brownie and berry smoothie! some time we feel something is missing or a bit lacking when we eat such healthy bio food. But it never happens at Bio Fred! The flavor has depth and is delicious. couldn’t have been better!
