La Bastide Café is hands down one of my favorite spots in the city! The vibe inside is calm yet lively, making it ideal for just about any mood or occasion.

But what really steals the show is the hidden patio in the back! It’s like a secret oasis in the heart of Genève—perfect for enjoying some fresh air while sipping on a smooth latte. The café’s mix of tranquility and community makes it a true retreat from the everyday hustle.

La Bastide has a very nice touch when it comes to presentation and layout of their dishes.

It’s the only place of its sorts in the old town, which brings a tiny bit of state of the art instagrammability to the area 😅.

The atmosphere is very girly and that translates to the predominant audience of La Bastide.

The food is well prepared although not a single time I’ve visited I could get what I craved for: maybe I’m always late or more menu option should be better stocked.

The portions vary in size: once I was really satisfied by my meal, another one I left pretty much still hungry, so better be asking before ordering 😅.

I’ve had a similar experiences with quality: once the sponge cake was dry (I presume not fresh), another time was delicious.

It’s one of my fav stops downtown, but more consistency and larger portions (with same prices 😇)...

Wonderful quaint cafe in the heart of old town. The ambiance is cozy and authentic, and charming decor. The food is nothing short of magnifique. I tried the avocado toast and a freshly baked pain au chocolat — both were perfectly done. The ingredients tasted fresh, the flavors were rich but balanced, and everything was plated beautifully. Their coffee is also a standout — smooth, strong, and served with care.

Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The staff truly seemed passionate about what they do, and it shows in every detail, from the presentation to their helpful recommendations.
