I was extremely disappointed by the service. My sisters and I passed by the bar around 3:30 pm to book a table for later the same evening at around 5:00 pm and the staff member told us that there's no need to make a reservation if we come before 7 pm.
We left and came back around 4:50 pm. To our surprise a staff member named (Sonia) refused to let us in claming that we need to make a reservation and we saw that there were more than two empty tables and we requested to stay there and while were speaking three guests left so more one empty table.
She kept refusing and telling us no and kept arguing. She said that she is in charge and her collogue was wrong the booking is before 6pm and not 7 pm I told her well now the time is 4:50 pm it's not even 5pm she laughed.
And then she started bringing up random excuses and her colleagues (Nabila) jumped in and started making up some random excuses like the priorty for hotel guests (mind you I myself stayed at the hotel three months ago). They were extremely rude!
The most annoying thing is that in the middle of the argument (Sonia) started laughing I told her why are you laughing she denied and then said what do you want me to cry???
We spoke to a manager and her poor soloution for us is to stay in the lobby and she will call us if she find us places in the bar. We...
Read moreThe food was okay but it took an hour to receive it which is way too much for a weekly lunch. The service was pretty bad too. I arrived and as soon as they saw me the girl claimed I needed a reservation (which was in fact false since I called the next day and they told me we don’t need it) but will let me for an hour if it’s ok and I accepted. I ended up staying longer than an hour since the food took an hour to come. When I sitted no server said hi or acknowledge me, they didn’t even gave me a menu for like 20 minutes before I asked for it while they were saying hi, giving menus directly and being friendly to other customers. We wonder why. You wouldn’t expect discrimination in this type of setting in an international city like Geneva yet here we are. It was absolutely classless and not a service you would expect in a 5 stars hotel. Ultimately I got a different server that ended the service quite well to save it but the beginning left a pretty bad impression of...
Read moreFor context, I normally both stay and dine at the Four Seasons when I’m traveling and I was even married at the Hualalai location. In Geneva I stayed at the Mandarin Oriental this trip, which was amazing. I went to the Four Seasons Le Bar de Bergues for dinner and a drink with a friend and ordered a Caesar salad with shrimp, soup, and two glasses of wine. The wine was great but the food was beyond terrible and the service was mediocre. To be honest, I’d rather have picked up grab and go at an airport that eat what was brought to me. The salad was grossly overdressed and did not taste the freshest and the soup was nothing spectacular and was not very hot upon arrival. Overall this falls way below the standards of the Four Seasons and I would strongly recommend finding alternative dining options in Geneva. I don’t mind paying for quality food and service but this was money...
