holy f'ing s't - the taste, the bun. THE BUN! it's just perfect. Listen, I've had thousands of burgers in my life, and so did my partner and hand down this were the best burgers in our lives, I'm not kidding you, nothing else comes even close. All around perfection. Meat seasoned and cooked to perfection, soft and juicy yet with delicate note of charred surface. Could as well be smoked with wood, very deep taste. Bun. holy f.k the bun. Keeps everything in place, yet melts away in mouth. Sooooo fluffy, soft, very delicate. Perfectly yellow. The texture was so even. Feels sooo good in the hand. Bacon: cherry-color-caramelized-perfection. Crunchy with soft chewy bits - oh yes. Garnishes left nothing to be desired, were fresh, prepared just right. Fried onion tasted so right. Ideally balanced blend of sauces, and just the right amount of them. Not too sour, not too salty, not too sweet - just balanced, and strategically placed around the burger.
After finishing the burger, the plate was clean, not a drop of sauce escaped the burger, not a single fried onion bit. The only thing left were fond memories of the taste, and a bit of sadness knowing it's already gone. Being aware I can order again gave me hope and strength to continue with my day.

Read moreWe've been a fan of Black Tap Burgers in Vevey for a while now so we're superexcited to see that a restaurant had opened in Lausanne. The format is a little different to the food court in Vevey with actual table service and plates but the food is still excellent. The staff greeted us warmly and we found a table on the nicely sheltered outdoor terrace. Our waitress was friendly and helpful encouraging us to order the Korean BBQ buffalo wings. In addition we ordered the Mexico City burger and a Traditional burger accompanied by regular and sweet potato fries. The food arrived promptly and was well presented and hot. All their smash burgers are cooked to order and arrive "open style" on a brioche bun. The taste of the burger is outstanding. At once buttery and with the char from the griddle. The fries were good but the sweet potato fries were probably better. All in all Black Tap has narrowly surpassed Five Guys as the best burger in Lausanne. If I were to be super critical I'd say change the presentation style. I prefer to see my burger arrive assembled with the bun lid on top. The open style looks a little messy. I'd also suggest that you make it more apparent on the menu that the standard burger is a double patty. The double was just too much for my wife to finish. The bill was expensive for a burger but still reasonable at CHF95.- for two including drinks and an optional 12.5% gratuity. Read moreIt’s hard for me to explain what I feel exactly but only anger now. Trying to keep it aside, but i have had black tap twice and this was the second time. Saturday evening on the 19th I have a smalll craving and check uberEATS, found a cool promo on 2 NYC bistro burger where I have added oreo shake and sweet potato fries. Food was normal nothing crazy in terms of tastiness or quality, rough meat to be eaten. Anyways we go go sleep with my wife and starts the drama, a non stop going back and forth to the toilets vomiting and diarhea which is what I call a food poisoning. We ate at 11am breakfast made home that day eggs and fresh tomates , bread and some canned tuna so no link at all. At 9pm we ordered and we got both super sick. I just want to warn people who do not want to spend a nightmare and hope that the Lausanne food safety check will make sure to check them and investigate. Will call them tomorrow and make sure that this can be avoided. Obviously could happen during summer and in a restaurant but here we talking about a chain, a burger chain that sells mono kind of product .. they don’t deal with fresh seafood or stuff like that which is risker imagine getting food poising from Burger King or Mac Donald’s could never happen: shame on you...
