Café restaurant Tortillard — Restaurant in Lausanne

This café has a good location, close to the train station, with a nice terrasse and far from the noises of the street.

The service was OK, a bit passive but responsive once you called them.

Unfortunately, the food was bad. It was clearly just some random can opened and put in a plate, then “cooked” through microwave. I simply could not eat it at all, which is a first in my lifetime.

This is kne if the best secret jewels of lausanne bars. If you like beers or syrup they have what you need. Very nice view and not crowed as it is behind a construction work site. I cannot recommend it enough. Plus the bar owner...

Les cafés/restaurants tenus par les privés se font rare dans le Sous Gare. Ce restaurant est vraiment charmant et authentique. Le repas de midi est très bon, style suisse/français. Les propriétaires, un couple, sont hyper gentils. C'est un bistro du coin, un resto du quartier. Leur terrasse est super par le beau temps. Dedans il fait très "cosy". Seulement à ce moment le restaurant est caché par le grand chantier de construction d'une chapelle et centre et la rénovation du bâtiment. Heureusement ils sont tellement aimés que leurs clients restent très fidèles, et qui dit tout. Vaut la peine de passer pour boire une bonne bière, un excellent cidre, ou café, thé, ou leurs délicieux chocolats...
