First time I went was new year's eve 2022.
We found it via Google, saw the fabulous reviews and scrumptious photos of exotic food and thought we hit the jackpot!
The find of all restaurant finds!
Walked in to be met by a crew of smiling faces which made me (I was a party of 4) feel welcome.
Unfortunately, it all went downhill from there.
Having been seated, we had the menu given to us, but without explaining that there were 2 (yes, just TWO) main meal options.... 1 meat and 1 fish.
This ought to have been communicated at the point of reservation, anyway....
Now if those 2 options had been any good, I'd be leaving a positive review.
They weren't.
They were both absolutely abominable.
The meat one was basically badly boiled rice, with dry lentils, and less lamb than would satisfy my cat. There was zero taste. I'd prepared and eaten better as a university student 20 years ago.
The fish one was even smaller, with even less fish, albeit I was told by my family that the taste was somewhat more bearable than my boiled rice and lump of dry lamb.
Forgot to mention, when the very basic starters arrived (again, limited range of only 4 yes FOUR options...) I asked the server what one of them was.... he looked at me like I'd asked him about the meaning of life, completely dumbfounded.
Anyway, topped off with, admittedly, very tasty but, again, severely limited in terms of range, dessert... throw a few soft drinks in, and we walked out having just paid ÂŁ360 for a meal that would have cost FAR LESS than ÂŁ20 in terms of ingredients.
Suffice to say, utterly disappointed, and we won't be returning.
Shame on you, OBeirut, for scamming your new years eve guests with a such...
Read moreMy experience here was one of the most delicious ever had. The restaurant is owned by the starred-Michelin Chef Alan Geaam that created innovative dishes with his expertise giving a unique taste to the traditional Lebanese cuisine.
The restaurant itself is very big and has a spacious terrace. Very oriental and cozy staffs that adorn the walls.
Attached to main restaurant there is Qasti Grill for a quick and delicious bite for taking away.
Workers are simply wonderful and chef Ali formed from the Chef Alan is the best chef you can find there. The Maitre Arsen behaves in elegant way. All workers professional, polite and smiling đ
I was impressed by the green hummus with pistachios pesto and in the buffet time at lunch itâs possible to find Lebanese food that you donât find in other Lebanese restaurants in Lausanne. Jellab with dates syrup is my favourite traditional Lebanese drink and the desserts are wow especially nammoura with pistachios.
In this restaurant you can find live music and Belly Dancer performances that is a unique value for this Lebanese restaurant in front of others. đđ„
Highly recommended for a romantic dinner or group meal with friends and...
