L'Osteria Luzern — Restaurant in Lucerne

Had to get a table our self because none of the waiters would listen to us when we were asking at the door, waited for about 5 minutes with no que and multiple empty tables when we got fed up and sat down and were told off by the waiter but not made to move. Then we called the waiter multiple times over the course of 20 minutes and yet we were told to be patient despite the restaurant not being busy. Eventually we became fed up and complained and then we finally had someone take our order. The waiter was extremely rude and walked off half way through us explaining our order to go speak to another waiter. Worst service we’ve had in the entirety of Switzerland and we’ve been in the country for almost 4 weeks now where we’ve eaten at different places every day. Yep, can only confirm what the latest 3 reviews written in the past hour just said Service is really uncoordinated and they were all so hectic and still unefficient. Sorry for the waiters but they seem to be all lost. Customers complaining, long line, as we walked in waiters were passing us by ignoring us, a young man was already waiting in the line. My husband started getting nervous and approached a server, as someone came we overheard from the young man, they had been sitting outside for 40 minutes and nobody came to take their order....very bad first impression. In the end we ordered pizza and salad and it came fast. Pizza was good but very little cheese. I will come back. I like the place, like the decor, the lighting, loved the music...but come prepared to fight for...

My family and I tried to walk in to get a table for dinner but none of the staff were remotely interested in attending to us (and I mean not even acknowledging our existence even after crossing eyes with us) the whole 10 minutes we waited at the door looking at the empty tables available. When a waitress walked right past us to speak with the table at the door, we knew what was happening and decided it wasn’t worth continuing the wait.

We’re an Asian family just in town for a holiday and unfortunately this stinks of racism. It’s sad that it has to happen in Lucerne but I decided it falls upon me to make sure this doesn’t go unheard. I strongly discourage any one from supporting a business like this if you have any cares for societal...
