Seebar — Restaurant in Lucerne

Fantastic view, nice atmosphere but....had one evening experience when everything was nice. And then the other time when I advised this place to my colleagues musicians to have a quick drink before going to the dinner. I got a very rude service, never felt so horrible honestly in any other place. The lady pushed me to order more wine than just a glass that I wanted to order. When I say "pushed" I mean really pushed. 30 mins later I had to leave and I wanted to pay for my wine, so she gives me check with the card and looks at me and with the loud commander voice tells: "The TIP!".. I leave the tips with pleasure but I don't remember to be ever forced to leave tips in Switzerland (when you don't want to do). Honestly, after this treatment, when the lady was trying to have this weird attitude as she tries to put me down, the way she spoke I just wanted to leave as soon as possible. So instead of nice chat, felt humiliated. My friends told that I should've protect myself and speak out, but I am somebody very shy, so I guess this lady from the service felt it and decided that she can do so,...

Encountered some of the least friendly individuals in Luzern, especially at this particular place. My girlfriend was genuinely thirsty, I asked the bartender for a glass of water. Much to my surprise, he declined, wearing a smile, and emphasized the need to purchase water. The encounter was rather unfriendly and lacking in empathy. It left me surprised about the attitude in this location – a real blood sucking captialist, that lacks basic human decency and empathy.

Per sabato sera avevamo due biglietti per la messa da Requiem di Giuseppe Verdi con l’orchestra filarmonica italiana, abbiamo deciso di mangiare qualcosa al Seebar prima del concerto. Siamo stati accolti con grande professionalità e cortesia dal responsabile del locale. Dopo aver gustato un aperitivo sulla terrazza con una magnifica vista sul lago, ci siamo accomodati all’interno. L’arredamento è di buon gusto, l’atmosfera e l’ambiente fantastici.

Una gentilissima e simpatica cameriera si è presa cura di noi con rapidità ed efficenza.

Ottima scelta di vini al bicchiere, e bello constatare che la Svizzera è al primo posto nella scelta dei prodotti sulla carta.

Delizioso il salmone marinato fatto in casa e buona l’idea della pinsa croccante nelle due versioni, con il roast-beef e vegetariana, ci è piaciuta molto.

Si vede che al Seebar nulla è lasciato al caso, bravi continuate su questa strada.
