QIRIN - Sushi & Drinks — Restaurant in Lucerne

Worst food experience in Switzerland so far. Slow service - taking about +50mins to wait (even for dining as one person and ordering only 5 pieces of nigiri). They got my order wrong as well. Average overpriced sushi, and you can’t really enjoy because WASPS (so many wasps) quickly swarmed all over the food 1 minute into serving. Don’t bother trying if you’re looking for a sushi fix as someone coming from SF Bay Area. I regret visiting this sushi rooftop.

More info: I came up to the rooftop restaurant to eat with a view around 6:20pm Monday 25Aug2025. It was not busy or crowded. I only ordered 5 nigiri pieces and hot tea. Hot tea was served in 15 minutes and nigiri (with wrong order) took +50 minutes. One male and one female Asian servers that never stopped to check-in while I waited at my table. They also didn’t provide their names when I asked so I can provide an accurate review. They apparently confused my handwriting instead of “#80 they assumed #90” without checking with me to be sure. They asked if I wanted my original order, but I was not going to wait even more and asked for the incorrect order to be removed off my bill. I didn’t eat it the incorrect food.

You can see them laugh together sharing/reviewing my receipt order by the cashier/bar after I made my complaints. The woman server was not apologetic and did not rush to give me my corrected receipt so I can pay as soon as possible. I went up to their cashier/bar myself because of the time, and she still tried to tell me to sit back down to table to bring the updated receipt that she was delaying herself. Amazing Japanese Experience in Lucerne!

I had the pleasure of dining at Qirin in Lucerne, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was cozy and authentic, making us feel like we had stepped into a little corner of Japan.

The highlight of our evening was the outstanding service provided by Santoshi. She was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. She took the time to recommend dishes based on our preferences and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal.

The food itself was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The sushi was expertly prepared, the ramen had a rich and deep broth, and the tempura was light and crispy—exactly as it should be.
