The service was impeccable! I love sushi, so I went into the shop for takeout with a polite/enthusiastic attitude. The waitress and manager returned the comfy feeling back tenfold! First, they helped me order online and apply the coupon code I found. Then, I was encouraged to sit for approximately 5 minutes as the chefs rolled the sushi. Although my order was takeout, the manager amicably welcomed me to explore the restaurant. Three of the pictures below show the decor, interesting and plentiful. There are a lot of restaurants along the Reuss, but the Reuss is as insect-infested as it is beautiful. Negishi Luzern is a block away from all the spiders and flying bugs, which means cleaner and therefore safer food. It's also worth noting that the first floor is fairly empty, while the second floor is packed. So although it may not seem so from the outside, business is good here. While service and atmosphere are important, the taste of the food makes it or breaks it, yeah? After having eaten sushi throughout the United States and Canada, I'd say that Negishi's options range from a 7/10 to 10/10. The best was Japanese Garden, followed by the Levantin. I ate those rolls so quickly that they were gone before I could take close-up pictures! Inari Nigiri was a tasty balance of sweet and flavourful. Salmon Summer was filling and fresh. Not worth recommending: Rainbow Mango, Maki Vegi Mix, and Avocado Nigiri. The mango is there for crunch, not juiciness. The 1-ingredient sushi have a get 'em full rice-to-filling ratio typically found in buffets. The two end pieces of the 8 Stk. specialty roll had rice-predominant centres, but the middle pieces have a generous amount of filling. If you view the menu prices as expensive, this might be frustrating. If you just want a break from Switzerland's overdose of cheese, chocolate, burgers, Italian fare, sausages, etc., Negishi is the...

All in all would not be returning regardless of the beautiful atmosphere, and for that I must give it a 1.

Maybe if you haven’t had good sushi in your life before this would seem good, but for those of you looking for authentic sushi, I would suggest finding somewhere else and when you do, let me know about it !

Honestly really wanted to love this place because the ambiance was so cool, two floors really stylishly finished. Only draw back was the seats are so close to one another you feel like your on a date with a stranger.

Now to the most important part. THE FOOD. Okay so this has to be some of the worst sushi I have had, yes I know disappointing to hear. The best thing we had was the sparking water with a fresh piece of lemon. No jokes. We ordered some dumplings which tasted like pack no flavor and mainly dough, then the miso soup was soooo salty. Then we had two cooked rolls both of which were so rich, the rice was really thick and gummy as if it was sushi that had sat there for a while. The sashimi tasted like fridge and finally the ramen had zero flavor, the ramen taste like cup soup and the spoon given was as large as s serving spoon, and the chicken tasted old. The tofu katsu curry came to the table cold, never had that before, and the tofu had...

I’ve traveled around the world, and this is the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. I swear on the credibility of my American Express Black Card that I’ve never experienced such poor service. After we entered, the staff ignored us for five minutes before attending to us. When we were ordering, they rushed us to place our order quickly. It took them 30 minutes to serve just two pasta dishes and one fried chicken.

For the first time, I realized that pasta could be a measurable unit because the portions were so small you could actually count the pieces. I was very upset and asked for the bill after finishing, but four staff members just stood around and didn’t bother helping us settle the payment. They even chose to clean tables instead of assisting us with the bill.

After waiting for five minutes, I put on my coat, signaling that I was about to leave. Only then did they bring over the POS machine. They completed the setup in just three seconds, proving that their delays were simply due to poor service. It completely ruined my mood. I strongly do not recommend this restaurant and advise staying far...

One of the best sushi serving restaurant chain in the German part of Switzerland. We ordered the "Bejitarian" 2-person sharing sushi plate, "Harumaki" (veggie spring rolls), and vegetarian Gyoza (unfortunately, no food pictures, as we were too hungry and excited to click any). Every dish was prepared to perfection! I would recommend this place for their accommodative vegan/veggie sushi options, great cocktails, and fancy ambience. The price is slightly on the higher side, but given the location (2 minutes walk from Luzern bahnof), the upkeep of the restaurant, and the culinary experience, I would say it's worth every penny! And yes, before I forget, paying the bill with a 5-way split has never been more convenient, you just go to their Web-app with the order details from your table, and choose what you want to pay for, and that's it. Surprisingly, the app also provides write/update locks (pardon me for the OS/DB lingo), thus, two people can never even accidentally pay for the same dish twice. Overall a 5-star experience!
